I later met with the others and we bought the tickets then got popcorn and drinks before going into the theatre.

The movie we were seeing was a Nollywood film named 'Breaded Life.'

We found ourselves laughing through out the entire movie and I swear I nearly choked on my drink.

It felt really nice being with a new group of friends which I appreciated so much because I couldn't ask for anything better.

With time, I realized that my Secondary School life was nothing close to this. I felt free knowing I could go out with my friends without the escort of an elder.

It was a breath of fresh air.

I never thought I'd actually move on from my past life in Kaduna with my old friends. I even feared I wouldn't be able to meet new people.

Yet, here I was.

I could only thank God.

"That was a good movie." Salma commented as we all walked out of the theatre.

We all nodded in agreement.

"So where to next?" Halimah asked.

"Let's go get ice cream now." Habibah suggested.

"Sounds good, let's go." I said as we made our way to the exit.

We headed to the nearest ice cream place we found. We got our ice cream but didn't stay there and moved about, peeking through shop windows instead of actually going in.

Don't look at us like that, none of us feel the need to waste our cash on things we don't need. Yes, even though we admire them.

As time passed, we just roamed about aimlessly until we got outside.

"Okay, it's time to get some food." Habibah said.

We all agreed with her and went into the outdoor restaurant.

The food was really nice and we enjoyed it while chatting away and getting to know each other better.

"I heard you could go on boat rides in this place." Salma chirped.

Habibah replied to her, "Yeah but me I'm not going oh, I don't want any problem."

"Okay but I really want to go so who's down?" Salma urged.

"Me." I raised my hand.

Halimah said next, "Let's go."

Habibah still didn't give in.

"Majority takes vote. We're all going!" I pulled Habibah off her seat.

We paid for the food before we went to the place where we were to go on the boat rides.

I smiled at the funny looking boats. They were in forms of a duck.

We got on after paying and before it even started moving, Habibah was screaming.

"You guys! I don't want! Please leave me let me get off this thing!" She screeched.

We all ignored her as it was even too late to get off by the time she was done shouting. The boat started moving.

I simply took a recording the entire time although Habibah's constant cries were ruining my video.

Once we got down, she was acting like she was going to faint.

"That was not funny. I swear, I'm never getting on that thing again. Don't drag me into doing it next time, abeg." She whined panting dramatically.

Halimah suddenly told us, "Hey, our brother is here to pick us up already. We told him to wait till we call him now."

"Ehn, let's just go. I've had enough fun today, anyway." Habibah answered.

I let out a sigh and hugged them both, "Until we meet another time, Girls. I had so much fun today, thanks for coming."

Salma joined in the group hug, "It was nice meeting you two. You guys are incredible. I look forward to doing this another time."

We pulled away.

"Okay. Take care guys." Habibah smiled.

Halimah waved at us with her usual poker face, "Until next time. Bye."

Then they walked off.

I suddenly remembered something and turned to Salma.

"Amir says hi, by the way." I told her.

"Wow, you probably forgot to tell me that since." She rolled her eyes.

I chuckled, "Sorry now."

She then asked, "He actually told you to tell me hi?" I nodded.

She smiled, "That just boosted my confidence. I was giving up on him at first but I guess he actually cares."

I grinned, "Yeah."

I felt my phone buzz against me and I took it out of my purse. I opened the message from Amir.

He was here.

Oh well.

"Ah, Salma...I'm so sorry. Amir's already here to pick me up." I sighed.

She shrugged, "It's alright. I'll call my driver too. Just tell I said hi back."

I nodded, "That, I will do."

We hugged for a quick second before pulling away.

"I'll see you next week at Campus." She said and I nodded before walking away and waving as I did.

I managed to get to Amir's car and I went inside while he drove.

"I'm surprised you came even before I called." I muttered.

He didn't say anything.

Accepting we won't have a conversation, I decided to tell him the last thing I planned to tell him.

"Salma said hi too."

Still, he didn't say anything.

Though after a while, he finally replied, "Okay."
