From the first day of school Pandora was my best friend. She was there for me as a sister, as a mother, as someone I had always needed.

I trusted her with my life if it came to it, and she did the same for me. I listened to all her theories of the world, and she listened to my worries of the world.

She listened, and that's what I needed. We were inseparable.

"So, spiders eye?" She asked, the cauldron getting steamy.

"Here. Don't we need the unicorn hair?" I asked.

"That comes in after the first mix." She said.

In reality I was shit throughout my years of Hogwarts, at potions. Pandora made new potions, her goal was the write a spell book when she was older. She was so smart for such a young witch, I envied her for it.

"No, No! Regina, that's after!" She spat at me, her hand gripping my wrist.

I flinched, shocked, hurt. We were only three months into the school year, and our first argument happened. Well, incident.

"Let go of me!" I screeched standing up.

"I'm sorry. Did it hurt? Did I hurt you?" She asked, worries taking over her aura.

"No. I'm sorry." I said, I felt my throat tighten. I wanted to cry. But I didn't want to feel weak in front of my only friend.

"Are you okay?" She said, stepping forward slowly. She was careful, gentle. In that moment she knew I was scared. Scared of someplace.

"I'm fine." I stuttered, and I ran out. I didn't want to give her the real answer.

I mean when you're an eleven year old girl, how are you supposed to tell your new best friend, only friend. That your mother hits you?
