A/N: I know when the tournament was a thing in marauders era it was the marauders second year but let's pretend it's not so they can be old enough to go to the ball<3
"Could you cut my hair?" I asked, passing Pandora a chocolate frog.
We were sat in an empty classroom, on a windowsill looking down at the busy courtyard.
She was sat opposite me, her legs crossed. I had my legs upright. In front of us was a bunch of empty packets and pictures of Dumbledore."How short?" She asked, unboxing it and studying the card. "Dumbledore. Gross."
"Like, shorter than Sirius." I said.
She looked up at me, "But your mother-"
"I'm not going home until summer, my hair grows quick. If not i'll just use a potion." I said.
"I could try." Pandora smiled. "Is there anything else you want me to try?"
"Can you call me Reg, not Regina?" I asked.
"Got it," She smiled, opening another chocolate frog. "Dumbledore again! It's like he's stalking me."
"He probably is, with all your theories." Said a different voice. In walked a dark figure.
He was tall, taller than I had last remembered. He looked like a real man, he looked mature although I knew he wasn't. He had a nice breezed tone of brown skin, and a smooth cut jawline. His round glasses and curly hair framing his face. He looked like a greek god.
"Hello to you too, Potter." Pandora waved.
"Don't mind me, just collecting a belonging of mine. Pretend I don't exist." James said walking to the opposite corner of the room. He was now in right bottom corner, whereas we were in the left bottom.
He whispers a spell I can't hear. I couldn't help but stare. Not out of curiosity but out of awe. He was truly...different.
He then leaves the room with a cream part of parchment in his hand, "Get back to your Dumbles theories. Act as if I didn't enter."
"Speaking of Dumbles," Pandora said, "Take these, I don't want them."
"The bloke really isn't that bad, he can't stalk you through portraits." James laughed.
"You're fooled, that's what he wants you to think," Pandora said, "Now go prank some Slytherins or something. I need to make this place into a barbers."
"You're getting your hair cut?" James said, looking at me. I snapped back into reality, realising I had just been watching him doze about for the past five minutes.
"Yeah. Time for a change." I said.
"You'll look dope. Anyways, I really do need to go. Preparations for the ball." He smiled.
"Oh crap, I forgot the Tournament was a thing this year. How are you preparing when it's months away?"
"Preparations for a date. She'll say yes." James blushed. She won't say yes. He leaves.
"I totally forgot theirs going to be a ball." Pandora said walking back over to our window.
"Yeah. Me too." I leaned back.
"That's all anyone's going to be talking about, dates, snogging, girlfriends, boyfriends blah blah blah," Pandora said, then smiled, "I think I might ask someone out though. Take the power."
"Who?" I said, now getting excited like a girl should be.
"Xenophilius Lovegood." She smiled.
"Oh, he's lovely. He likes editing things, doesn't he?" I asked.
"Yes, he's super talented. We work together in potions."
"That must be fun for him." I smirked.
"Hey! My potions are marvellous!" She said, swatting me with her notepad.
"Except when they turn into green stunk." I giggled.
"At least I didn't turn green."
"That was also your fault!" I shrieked. She was now chasing me around to room.
