"Regina,
I am so disappointed in you for choosing such a manly hobby. You are NOT meant to play this type of sport as a girl. You are meant to be preparing for a husband to keep our pure-blood alive! Not getting yourself muddy running after a flying golden snitch!
I am so upset with you. I didn't bring you up to be such a bad child like your brother.
Quit Quidditch.
- Mother."
I ignored the letter. Ripped it up and threw it in the bin. This was school, I was me here. Not my mothers version of me.
"Regina! Why did you rip that up!" Narcissa said, bouncing off her bed and getting the scraps of my letter.
She started building them back together like a puzzle. Even when she had no right to read my letter.
"You're doing Quidditch?" Narcissa said, looking a little annoyed.
"Yeah. I got in. Seeker." I smiled.
"You got seeker?" She gasped, "Wasn't Lucius a seeker?"
"Yeah, he got knocked down to chaser."
"Oh well." I said.
"Quidditch is so boyish, why join?" Narcissa asked.
"Because it's boyish. I'm not perfect like you." I said, and rolled over.
She fell silent, as did I. A tear rolled down my cheek, followed by another. Into my mouth, it tasted like salt. I fell asleep, crying.
