{1st January 1975}
"And you're insane to think that I will obey you and your fucked up orders!" Sirius shouted. "This is my life, not yours, not Reg's, not dads or even Kreechers, mine."
"And you, boy, are insane to think that I will obey you and your silly thoughts!" Mother yelled.
"My thoughts have nothing to do with you!" Sirius yelled.
"Regina, go to your room, darling," Mother said calmly. "I need to deal with him alone."
"No." I stood.
"I beg your pardon?" Mother gasped, "No?"
"You'll hurt him." I said.
"What sorts of ideas have you put through her head?" Mother said, her wand was pointed at Sirius' neck.
"Nothing, he has just gained common sense." Sirius spat.
"Don't use that tone with me boy," Mother said, "Or there will be consequences."
"Or what? You'll kill me? If you do that you'll be sent to Azkaban and the dark lord will miss you dearly." Sirius sneered.
Mother started walking, her wand on his neck. She pushed him into a wall, he smacked his head, he grunted, he fell.
She grabbed him by his collar lifted him up, "Get out of my sight, my house, my life, before you won't have any of those."
"G- gladly." Sirius breathed, and he walked out. He couldn't walk straight, I don't think he could see straight.
Mother turned to face me, her face was red, her eyes were bloodshot, she was crying.
"Go on, to after him." She said, waving me off.
So I did, I ran to him, asked Kreecher to get me a wet flannel. I got to his room, he was packing, he wasn't holding his head.
"You're not actually leaving are you?" I said, holding the cold watered flannel to his head. He hissed.
"I have no other choice." Sirius said, packing his school things into a separate bag.
"You promised me you wouldn't leave me here," I said, I was staring to cry, "You promised."
"And you expect me to keep that promise after what she just did?" He snapped, "She could've killed me."
"Yes, I believe you to keep that promise!" I said, "You can't leave me here with her."
"Yeah well, everyone makes promises they can't keep." He raised his voice.
"Please don't leave me for him, again," I said, "Please."
"James? You're really bringing him into this?" Sirius scoffed, "Anything to manipulate your way in."
"I'm not manipulating you. I just want you to stay. I don't think I could live here alone," I sobbed, "Sirius, please."
"Then come with me," He said. "Pack your things, I can wait."
I stood still. I wanted to go, of course I did. He was giving me a choice, that I couldn't make.
"I cant." I said, almost as a whisper.
"Fine," Sirius said, "Stay here."
"No- Sirius no." I said, he floo powdered away.
I screamed. I ripped. I pulled. I cried. I didn't cry. I didn't hurt. I didn't feel. I was alone.
He was my magnet, but the type of magnet that would only pull away from me.
That was the night I was betrayed, by my own brother.
