It was the end of the school year, and I had been given no choice but to go home. My father had passed away. Apparently he was sick whilst I was away, grown warts. He passed in his sleep.

It was his funeral today. I owled James, to tell him and Sirius I was okay. Sirius didn't come.

I wanted to be angry with him for not attending his fathers funeral, but I wasn't. Because, I didn't exactly want to be here either.

The wizarding world is very odd in the fact that sometimes, we do muggle things. We do funerals how muggles do, same with birth.

I wore a suit to the funeral, I knew he wouldn't care. My mother did. She yelled at me for it.

I stood with Narcissa the whole time. She and I had grown closer since she invited me over. She has been every holiday since. She's now dating and to be engaged with Lucius.

She didn't cry, nor did I. I didn't feel anything. It felt like it was fate. Like I was expecting it soon.

Mother sniffled, but didn't cry. Her eyes were dry, but she was being comforted with a bunch of people I probably met when I was a baby. I didn't know anyone except for Narcissa, the Malfoys, and my other close relatives.

We sang hymns, and said our goodbyes.

I stayed by his grave after everyone left to talk to him.

"You never helped, why did you never help?" I said. "Now I am completely alone."

I left.
