Falke Journal Entry 83
Unfortunately, because General Ironwood ordered the entire kingdom of Atlas to be put under lockdown since the fall of Beacon, Winter isn't able to get us out of Atlas by standard means. But she does know of someone that can get us out the not-so-legal way. She said his name was Ky Summers, and apparently, he is a 'crack shot pilot' in her own words. Before we left, I said goodbye to my mom and told her that I would come back and free her from Jacques when I was done. Winter's just dropped us off near where we're supposed to find Summers.
End Entry
The streets are filled with people going about their daily lives, unaware of the two huntsmen that walk among them. Falke walks down the sidewalk with Pyrrha by his side, both occasionally looking through the windows of shops. Falke manages to spot something he thought he'd never see.
Falke: "Is that you on that cereal box?" Pointing towards a cereal box that has her plastered on the front of it.
Pyrrha: "Well, I did tell you how I was famous. This really wasn't one of my top moments while being famous. Besides, that cereal isn't really good for you." As the two continue walking.
Falke: "Well, considering how we actually died. I'd think it is safe to say the cereal wouldn't be too bad." Pyrrha letting out a small giggle as she holds Falke's hand.
Pyrrha: "It would be nice though...to be able to enjoy all the small things. Hopefully, one day, we can find someplace to settle down at, wouldn't that be nice."
Falke: "Not gonna lie, as long I'm with you, the world could end, and I'd still have a smile on my face. Besides, we'd need to be married if we're gonna do something like settle down."
The two eventually make their way to a small bar in the middle of the city named 'The Blackjack.'
Pyrrha: "It seems we've finally made it to the place your sister told us about. Do you still have the card she gave you?"
Falke: "Yep, right here." He holds up a small card that reads 'I.O.U to Winter Schnee' with Ky Summers signed on it.
They walk into the bar and are immediately hit with the stench of alcohol; many rough-looking people are seated throughout the bar, some at tables playing cards, others are at the front bar. The two walk towards the front bar, Falke holding Pyrrha's hand, and the two take a seat.
Bartender: "What can I get you two?" The old lanky man who is cleaning out a shot glass asks, not bothering to look at the two.
Falke: "We're looking for a man by the names of Ky Summers. I heard the usually hangs out here."
Bartender: "Has he broken the law?" Stopping what he was doing to look at the young man.
Falke: "Not that I know of."
Bartender: "Back booth to the right." Going back to cleaning.
Falke shrugs to Pyrrha as they both head to the booth in the back of the room. As they approach, they see a man in a red coat who appears to be sleeping.
Pyrrha: "Should we wake him up?" She looks at Falke.
Ky: "You should probably make sure 'he' is asleep first, little lady." The man looks up at the two. "I suppose I'm in trouble if they got huntsmen here."
Falke: "You're not in trouble...I think. Anyway, we need your help. You are Ky Summers, right?"
Ky: "Well, then take a seat, both of you."
Pyrrha: "I'm sorry you wouldn't happen to know where the bathroom is, would you?"
Ky: "Of course, little lady. It is over there." Pointing towards a doorway across the bar, Falke taking a seat in the booth.
Sitting down, Falke gets a better look at Ky. Falke is surprised to see that Ky isn't that much older than Winter. He wears a red coat with white accents and a dark black shirt. He also wears a set of khaki pants with a sword at his hip in its sheathe.
Ky: "So you know my name, but I don't know yours." Leaning back in the booth.
Falke: "Name's Falke, and her name is Pyrrha."
Ky: "Let me guess, you two are together."
Falke: "It's that obvious, huh. Anyway, we need your help to get to Mistral."
Ky: "Wow, you wanna leave Mantle. Where have I heard that before." He says sarcastically.
Falke: "Look, I was told you could get us where we need to go without the permission of the military."
Ky: "Well, you did hear correctly, but that requires Lien to make it happen. You got the Lien?"
Falke: "I have a different payment method; she sends her regards." Placing the I.O.U card in front of Ky.
Ky: Picking up and inspecting the card. "Dammit, Winter...Alright, you got yourself a deal. Where do you two need to go?"
Falke: "You know where the Branwen clan camp is?"
Ky: "What the fuck. Do you want to die? Cause if so, you could've just asked me to kill ya in the alley. So why the hell do you need to go there?"
Falke: "Look, we need to get there. Can you get us there or not?"
Ky: "Fine...meet me outside in an hour, and I'll take you to my ship."
Pyrrha: "Hey! Get off me!"
Ky and Falke quickly turn to see an older man trying to grope Pyrrha.
Ky: "Looks like she needs you, Mr. knight-in-shining-armor."
Falke quickly stands up as he makes his way over to Pyrrha. But is stunned as Pyrrha grabs the man and flips him over her shoulder with little effort.
Ky: "Uhm... never mind." Stunned as well at seeing that display.
Pyrrha: "What? He didn't leave me alone." Walking over to Falke as she places a kiss on his cheek. "So, what did Ky say?"
Falke: "Oh, uh...he'll meet us outside in an hour to take us to his ship."
Pyrrha: "Delightful. Come on; the smell is starting to bother me." Taking Falke's hand as she leads him outside the bar.
