Chapter 8: Destruction Incarnate

Raven couldn't believe her eyes. Standing before her was her nephew, Falke, who only 3 months ago was thought to have been killed. But here he was standing before her, alive and with the girl he had claimed as his. She slowly stepped closer to him placing her hand on his chest to see if he was real or if this was just a hallucination of her grief.

Raven: "Is..is it really you...Falke?"

Falke: Taking hold of her hand: "Yeah...yeah, it is."

Raven quickly brought her hand to cover her mouth as tears streamed down her face. Falke wrapped his arms around his aunt, taking her into a hug. Without hesitation, she hugged him back as she let out 3 months of grief and pain. She'd thought of herself as a mother figure to Falke, and he knew that as well. He tightened his hug around her as he, too, couldn't hold back the emotions that had surfaced upon seeing his aunt after so long.

Raven: *Sobbing*: "I thought-.. I'd never get to s-see you again. B-but how...how are you here?"

Falke: "That's a bit of a story."

After wiping away her tears, she recomposes herself and picking up her mask and sword.

Raven: "Come then. I'm certain you have quite the story to tell. But not at the camp. I have guests there that might see your arrival differently than how I did."

Pyrrha: "Who?"

Raven: "I believe they were the ones that orchestrated the destruction of Beacon Academy."

Pyrrha: "What!? And they're your guest? How could you let them stay there without any punishment?"

Raven: "You fail to see the bigger picture, child. They are working for someone much more powerful than anticipated...someone who can control Grimm."

Ky: "I'm sorry, did I hear you correctly. Controlling Grimm!? That's impossible. Grimm are no more than just wild animals."

Raven: "Beleive what you will. But I've seen it...its something that frightens me more than you think."

Falke: "That must be the group he was talking about. Nevermind that. Raven, we need your help. We can talk inside. Ky, you can go back to repairing your ship."

Ky: "Not until I get an apology." Raven instead gives him a cold glare. "Or...not. You know what, it's all good, happens all the time."

The three make their way into the cabin taking seats at the dining room table.

Raven: "So? What is it that you need of me?"

Falke: "We need you to answer some of our questions."

Dante: Summoning himself: "Yeah, like, why the hell did you seek out my brother to train you?"

Raven: "Ah. It seems you still bound to my master's brother."

Pyrrha: "He's actually bound to me now."

Raven: "So you could switch bodies at any time."

Falke: "Well, that's an even longer story."

Raven: "Go ahead, I have time." Leaning back in the chair.

Falke and Pyrrha then tell Raven about everything that had happened to them, how they were asked to take the Fall Maiden's powers, how Yang and Jaune murdered them under Ozpin's orders. That since then, they'd been under the care of Willow Schnee since they'd been set there by Vergil and how he prevented Falke's death. As they finished their long explanation, Raven sits forward and takes a deep breath.
