Chapter 22: Back to the Grind

Falke slowly opens his eyes as he lays under the covers of his bed. As he yawns, he feels a weight on his chest. Slightly lifting the covers of his bed, he spots the naked from of Pyrrha asleep next to him as she uses his chest as a pillow. Remembering what had occurred last night, he smiles as he places a loving kiss on her forehead as she slightly smiles—moving her gently as not to wake her, he gets out of bed and gets dressed for the day's events, spotting the Yamato and the Spear of Creation across the room. They both seem to be floating in a synchronized rotation. Their energies were rebounding off one another.

Pyrrha: "They've been doing that ever since you brought the Spear back with you." Falke turns to see Pyrrha sitting up, using the sheets to cover herself.

Falke: "Morning. Hopefully, Vergil knows something about this. How'd you sleep?" Finishing buttoning his vest.

Pyrrha: "Good, especially since we slept in an actual bed. Better since it was with you, though." She also begins to get dressed.

Falke: "Look, about last night- I just want to say that-" He stops as he feels her hugging him from behind.

Pyrrha: "Shush. You don't have to say anything. We both know what we did...I'm just glad that my first was with you."

Falke: "Actually...I was going to say. It was about damn time. I mean, you don't know the amount of sexual frustration I had to let out then, do you?" He chuckles as he slaps him on the back. "But anyway...I'm glad that you were my first as well." Turning around, he meets his lips with hers as they both share a passionate kiss.

Later on in the morning, Falke and Pyrrha are eating in the cafeteria of the academy. Spotting Nora and Ren, Pyrrha waves them over to sit.

Nora: "So, Pyrrha?" Ren was instantly facepalming as Pyrrha looked at Nora questioningly.

Pyrrha: "Yes?"

Nora: "So how'd you and Falke sleep last night? It must've been nice to sleep on an actual bed."

Pyrrha: "Oh! Well, it was nice. Thank you for asking."

Nora: "My pleasure...So? Did you and Falke 'Release' together?"

Pyrrha's face turns a crimson red as Falkes chokes on his food upon hearing what she asks.

Falke: "Fuck! *cough* Nora, really! *cough* I was trying to eat!"

Nora: "As well as eating her out. Zing!" As she comically speeds off, dodging a metal tray that Pyrrha threw at her sing her semblance.

Ren: *sigh* "Well, at least it's good to see her in higher spirits. Our time in Atlas wasn't the best, so it's really good to see old friends again."

Falke: "It's good to see you as well. It eases both our minds to know that you two got out of Beacon safe. I just wish we were there to help."

Ren: "Don't worry about it. Unfortunately, by the time we were able to start fighting back...it was already too late."

Pyrrha: "So what did you all do while me and Falke were absent."

Ren would then explain all the events that he, Nora, and Team RWBY went through. From their trip to Haven Academy, all the way to evacuate the people of Mantle and Atlas. Falke would also tell Ren of their journey to finding the Yamato.

Ren: "Well, it seems you two had one hell of a trip."

Falke: "More like boring, you guys pretty much went through hell and back. All we did was walk and try not to die."
