Chapter 13: Destiny Chasing Time

A Bullhead flies over the large dunes of Vacuo. On its side, the symbol of Shade Academy is present. Inside the Bullhead, four people sit. One is a young girl with a beret and sunglasses; she looks over her weapon, which is a purse. The second is another young girl with rabbit ears sits, who is currently napping while holding a camera in her hands. Sitting across from her is a dark-skinned boy with red hair and white eyes as he fiddles with his fingers. Finally, a large boy sits sharpening his blade, which is massive in size like him. The intercom on the Bullhead comes on as the four receive an alert that they'll be approaching their destination soon. The girl in the beret known as Coco stands up, slinging her purse across her shoulder.

Coco: "Alright, team, eyes up." The rabbit-eared girl shoots up. "We got reports from a nearby village near the old arches that locals saw a couple go into the Dark Caverns. So now I don't need to tell you why heading in there is a bad idea." The red-haired boy named fox chimes in.

Fox: "Were being sent to look for lost, dumb, horny couples who can't listen to clear warnings. I mean, hey, they could be deaf. Wouldn't that be dandy?"

Coco: "Can it, Fox. The Dark Caverns are crawling with Grimm, and we're heading in and getting the two of them out. It's nothing we haven't dealt with before. Any other questions?" The largest among them, Yatsuhashi, gives a thumbs up, while Velvet the rabbit Faunus raises her hand. "Velvet, you don't need to raise your hand."

Velvet: "Oh, sorry. Have you gotten any news about anyone else from Beacon?"

Coco: "Sorry, Velv'. I know as much as you do, but don't worry if we made it out, then there's no doubt others made it out as well."

Intercom: "We're making our landing now. Good luck, team CFVY, radio in when you need to pick up."

As the bullhead lands, the four head out into the small village. As they walk towards the entrance to the Dark Caverns, they are stopped by an older woman standing by the entrance.

Old Woman: "Oh, thank the gods, you must be the Huntsmen team the academy sent. Please, you have to find those two; they went in on their own, I tried to tell them it was dangerous, but they didn't listen."

Coco: "Don't worry, mam. We'll get them out. I just need you to make sure no one else heads in while we're looking alright. Now, what did these two look like?"

Velvet: "If you don't mind me asking, where do these Caverns lead?"

Old Woman: "The Caverns lead to the old Arches of Beauty, but when the Grimm attacks increased, the Arches and the caverns were closed off due to safety concerns. The two of them came through here and asked about the Caverns. They were two youngsters much around your age, the young girl carried a shield on her back and had red hair, and the boy had snow-white hair that he tied up in a ponytail; he also carried a sword on his back. A cute young couple, but when they asked about the caverns and where they lead, I had no clue they would take the path until they were already gone."

Coco: "Alright, thank you, mam. We'll be on our way now, and don't worry, we'll find the two of them."

Team CFVY began to head into the caverns. The caverns are more like small ravines that held massive amounts of water before the old kingdom war over the mass amounts of dust mined in Vacuo. As the team moved through, the light that broke through the small openings above them guiding them along the path. 

Coco: "Strange...these caverns are supposed to be a death trap filled with Grimm, but I don't see any signs of them around." The rest of the team agreed except for velvet, who seemed to be concerned about something else. "Hey, Velv'. What's up with you?"
