Falke Journal Entry 83

We're on our own now. Ky is somehow banned from flying in Vacuo territory. Apparently, he was caught running illegal firearms and was subsequently restricted from flying there. We asked him if he could at least fly us to the border, but with the increased Grimm activity in Vale, it's almost impossible to fly through unscathed, and he's not willing to take the chance. However, he's given us a way to contact him, so if we ever need a quick flight, he'll be there. We're making our way there now, and we've managed to cut through some smaller villages taking care of Grimm for the people to earn some reward. But it allows us to keep our skills sharp, and that's what counts. Once we make it to Vale, the real challenge begins.

End of entry

The two teenagers are currently making their way across the small gap of ocean between Mistral and Vale. They got the boat ride from a small fishing village that they helped deal with a Grimm problem in exchange for passage to Vale. They've been traveling alone for days now since they met with Raven. Falke is currently twirling his summoned swords around in the air to pass the time while Pyrrha checks the condition of her shield.

Boat Driver: "You two didn't happen to hear anything about what happened at Haven Academy, right?"

Falke: He de-summons his blade: "What happened?"

Boat Driver: "Apparently, all the staff there were killed when some terrorist group walked in and did a repeat of what happened to Beacon."

Pyrrha: "That's horrible. Did they say who did it?"

Boat Driver: "They claimed it was that same group that destroyed Beacon. It looks like somebody's got a bit of a grudge with the Huntsmen."

As they finish their conversation, they arrive at the shore of Vale.

Falke: "Thanks again. We really appreciated it."

Boat Driver: "My pleasure. Now you two stay safe. I don't think it'd be good on my conscience seeing a married couple like you two die so young." He says as he turns his boat around and begins to sail back the way they came.

Falke: "What is that 5 now?"

Dante: Manifesting himself: "6 if you count the old lady two villages back who gave Pyrrha marital advice."

Pyrrha: "Maybe it's fate trying to tell us something."

Falke: "What? That we should be married now?"

Pyrrha: "I mean...maybe."

A long silence follows as Falke stands there stunned by what Pyrrha suggested. He then takes her hands in his own and looks her in the eyes.

Falke: "You know what, your right. After this is all over and done with Pyrrha, I'm gonna marry the shit out of you. And we're gonna live out our lives together and if anyone has anything different to say, then..well...they're just gonna have to deal with it. Now come on, we have power to obtain."

She smiles up at him as they pick up their gear and begin making their way towards Vacuo.

2 months later

The two have set up camp on a cliffside ridge. Falke stands watch as Pyrrha is repairing her shield as it took a dent earlier during the day when they fought a Geist Grimm that used trees and boulders as a form of armor. They have two small rabbits cooking in a spit above the campfire as their dinner.

Falke: "You doing alright? You took a pretty nasty hit today." Kneeling to check her over for bruises.

Pyrrha: "I'm fine, honey. The Grimm was the one I was worried for, and you should've seen yourself. I don't believe I ever saw you that mad in a long time." She places a kiss on his cheek as his face turns a dark shade of red.

Falke: "Yeah, well, I hate seeing you hurt-Wait! 'Honey'! When did this happen!?"

Pyrrha: "Well, I remember our conversation from a few months ago, and I thought that if we're going to be married at the end of this. Might as well..you know, play the part."

Falke: "Oh~. So you want to play the part~. Well, my loving wife~. How should we consummate this marriage~?" As he begins to place kisses along he neck, laying her down on their sleeping bag.

Pyrrha: "We should first turn out the lights~. My husband~." Taking off his jacket, Falke quickly puts out the fire. Rejoining Pyrrha, who had taken off her breastplate.

The Next Day

Falke uses Rebellion to cut through loose branches furiously as last night Dante had, again, 'accidentally stopped them mid-love making. Pyrrha walks behind as she begins to recognize her surroundings.

Pyrrha: "Hey, stop real quick." Falke stopping to look back at Pyrrha.

Falke: "What is it, my love?" Pyrrha's face becomes a light shade of pink, as she'd never been called that before. "What I can play the part as well."

Pyrrha: "No, it's just...um...do you recognize these trees?"

Falke inspects the surrounding trees. Then, realizing where they're at, he cuts through a few more bushes. Finally, cut out of the forest, they see the once white towers of Beacon no more than rubble as well as the whole city of Vale.

Pyrrha: "I didn't think it would be...did anyone make it out. I know our friends must've made it out but did anyone else."

Falke: "Come on, it doesn't look like there are any Grimm here..not anymore."

They continue down towards the destroyed beacon. They begin to walk through the rubble of the school. They could recognize the classrooms, the hallways, even the cafeteria. They eventually find their way to the destroyed elevator shaft that leads to Ozpin's secret underground room. They both decide to head down it, Pyrrha using the wings of her devil trigger to carry them both down safely.

Pyrrha: "It feels weird having it be the other way around." Setting Falke down on the metal floor.

Falke: "Well, it isn't. Not unless you want it to be?" She slightly giggles as she transforms back.

They both begin to explore the large room, which has been, for the most part, undamaged except for certain holes in the ceiling and caved-in walls.

Falke: "Hey, come look at this." Tossing an empty vial toward Pyrrha, Dante, instead of catching it as he summons himself.

Dante: "Looks like the vials Yang had drunk from. Judging from the trace amounts of demonic energy, it looks like she may have gotten to the rest after she killed you two. Which I shouldn't have to say is really bad."

Pyrrha: "That means she is as much a danger to others as she is to herself. We have to warn someone or stop her ourselves, right Falke?...Falke?" She sees him standing in front of the shattered pod of Amber. Outside it, bones are strewn across the floor.

Falke: "They got to her before she could wake up. Or worse, she couldn't fight back as they ate her alive. A young girl around our age left to be eaten alive by wild animals, not even given a burial. Ozpin has to pay for this...he will pay for this."
