The title is extremely well thought and gives off romance vibes. Loved it <3
Cover- 4/5
The cover is nice and simple and conveys to the reader that the genre of the story is romance but it (the cover) could be better. I suggest requesting in a cover shop, this community i.e CLNighters has one too, so you can request there if you like.
Blurb- 4.5/5
The blurb is amazing, it's not too long, describes the plot very well without giving out much, and is grammatically correct. I also loved how you added the warnings even though it is rated mature since at times people just skip over the story rating and status.
Opening Chapter- 9/10
I loved the first chapter (who am I kidding? I loved all of the chapters)! Great way to start a story especially since it matched your blurb perfectly. I love it when the scene mentioned in the blurb is there at the start of the story since it intrigues the reader to know more considering how you've already said what's gonna happen next but not in what way.
Character Development- 10/10
The way you described Mellie's thoughts- the hurt, happiness, fright, etc- was amazing. I have no suggestion to make other than to keep the good work up. I am in love with Mels, she's an independent woman, loved how you did justice to her character.
Writing Style- 8/10
Your writing style is good enough but it isn't really poetic or has vast imagery, but don't worry about that, writing style improves with practice and experience. Thus, I suggest you write short stories/ flash fiction/ drabble in your free time as a practice and as it might help you improve.
Grammar and Vocabulary- 8/10
The grammar needs some corrections so I'd suggest looking through the document or requesting editing in an editing shop. Overall, the vocabulary and grammar are better than most stories I've read on Wattpad, so kudos to you!
Plot- 9.5/10
Now coming to the plot, it's original and creative. It might seem cliche at first to some people but every story has some cliches, what matters is how you portray and work with them and as it turns out you worked with it very well! Thus, the plot turned out extremely good and I swear I'm hooked :p
Flow- 10/10
The flow is just like a river i.e flowing steadily. There were time jumps but it did not break the flow at all, instead, I'm quite pleased that you did them cause the story would've been boring if the activities of each day were written especially since they won't be required.
Genre Relevance- 5/5
The title, cover, blurb, plot, and even the dialogues convey that this is a story of the romance genre. You earned a lot of brownie points here yaay!
Communication with Readers- 4.5/5
Most of the comments were answered and the author's notes make the reader want to convey their opinions and bond over the story with you. A great job is done!
Overall Enjoyment- 5/5
