Everyone woke up pretty early, considering no one set any alarms. It was their first day of teachers assigning work online to finish off the school year.

Will took it upon himself to set up the long dining room table for everyone. Whatever they needed was on the table. Thirsty? There were water bottles. Hungry? Will made waffles. Your pencil broke, and you need more paper? There are stacks of both at the end of the table.

The party clumped around the table, none of them bothering to change out of their pajamas. The bedhead Dustin had; boy was it bad. Most teachers just assigned work for the whole week. Lucas was pretty sure all the teachers just gave up; he didn't blame them so have all the students.

To everyone's surprise, Mike suggested every person could pick a class and do the work for everyone. There was one problem, they didn't have all the same classes.

Other than the main 4 classes, math, English, science, and history, all six of them didn't have another class together.

Lucas and Will decided they would do everyone's science. Mike would do the math. Dustin volunteered for history, and Max and El came together to get the English assignments done.

One hour went by, and the six of them finished each other's work.

"Imagine if we didn't have the same teachers, then that would've taken a lot longer," Dustin exclaimed gratefully. Each teenager had two more class assignments, and then they would be done for the week.

The girls were happy they got their semester of gym done early this year; as for the guys, they get to finish off their gym class at home. To everyone's surprise, Dustin suggested for them to go on a run.

Max went outside to take pictures for her photography class, and El sat on the deck with a notepad for a drawing course.

At nearly 11 a.m., the assignments for the week were complete.

"I swear the teachers have no concept of time. Like, we would've done all of that in a day if we were in school; why did they give us a whole week?" Will flopped onto the couch.

"I think they're just being considerate given the circumstance," El answered.

"Considerate my ass. None of them had any sympathy for me when my dad died. They only care if it directly affects them," Max always had a difficult time when it came to teachers. Every once in a while, she would have one she liked but not this year.

There were lots of mumbles in agreement. "Thank goodness we went on that run earlier," Mike pointed outside. It was pouring rain, and a flash of lightning made everyone jolt.

Max's eyes went wide, and she nudged Lucas. Once he looked at her, he immediately understood. The two ran upstairs while the rest just questioned what was happening.

Lucas yanked the creaky window open, and the two hopped out. They were quickly throwing all the soaked bedding inside.

"Why did we not do this earlier?" Max yelled in frustration.

"Cause we're stupid," Lucas chuckled, throwing the last pillow inside. "Mike's going to be pissed."

"Good thing you're the one that's going to tell him," She patted his shoulder as the rain kept beating down harder on them.

Lucas just rolled his eyes, although he would rather it be him to tell Mike considering his like/hate relationship with Max. "Your hair is pretty when it's wet."

"We go swimming all the time; you've seen my hair wet before," Max laughed.

"I know, and I think it's pretty," He whispered into her ear and kissed her cheek. A clap of thunder caused the two sopping teens to go back inside.

"What the hell just happened?" Dustin saw the two coming downstairs and noticed their damp clothes. Max rang out her hair leaving drops of water to fall onto the carpet.

"It's a long story, but we need new bedding and pillows," Lucas said awkwardly. Mike's face twisted in confusion at his friend's request.

"Did you guys leave your windows open or something?"

"Well, actually-" Lucas began before Max cut him off. "Yes, that's exactly what we did."

"Okay...," Mike looked at them weirdly. "There are extra sheets and stuff in the hall closet."

Max and Lucas headed upstairs to change out of their wet clothes and make their bed.

"Do you need anything else to be put in the dryer?" Lucas was gathering everything that was rain-soaked.

"Yeah, here," Max threw her wet t-shirt, and it hit him abruptly in the face. The wet shirt made a loud smack noise when it hit the poor boy's face. Lucas stood there for a second, not daring to look up at his girlfriend, who he knew for a fact was about to burst out laughing. "That must've hurt," There was a snickering tone in her voice.

"I'm going to get you back for that one, Mayfield."

Max rolled her eyes. "Oh, I'm sure you will."

"I can almost hear your eyes rolling into the back of your head from here," He said, walking into the bathroom. "I'm going to prank you so hard."

"Is that a bet?" A smirk appeared on his girlfriend's face.

"You know it. Prank week starts tomorrow," Lucas declares.

"Just between us, or do we get to pick team members?"

"How about it's just between us for the first five days, but the last two, we can pick teams."

"Sounds good to me, Stalker."

"You're on Mayfield," The couple shook on it as their minds were racing with ideas.

I know this is kinda short, but I've been working on a one-shot for the past week. It is centered more around Max's home life. Obviously, lumax will be included. It'll be a long one, and I'm really excited for you guys to read it!
