Ariel's POV

My eyes opened slowly, and I stretched.

My body felt sore, and memories of last night came flooding back into my head.

I must have fallen asleep on Alastor... I guess he laid me down.

A small smile reached my face, and I got up out of bed. I noticed I was in my night dress, but didn't worry too much about it.

I know he can change clothing with his magic.

I yawned and stepped out into my living room, but immediately froze at what I saw.

There, sprawled out on my couch, was Alastor.

His body was too long for the couch, and some parts were falling off.

I threw my hand over my mouth, stifling a laugh, then walked over to the couch.

I leaned over him, hovering my face above his. He had a soft relaxed grin on his face, and he looked peaceful.

I watched him for a moment, and jumped when he spoke suddenly.

"What are you doing?" He asked me, not opening his eyes.

"Nothing, what are you doing," I asked back, standing back up straight and walking around the couch.

I lifted his legs up, sat down, and laid them back over my lap.

He peeked an eye open and looked at me, "well, I was sleeping, but I see someone has decided we are awake now," he said groggily.

I played with the fabric of his pants.

Then I noticed he was wearing soft pajamas and not his suit.

"I didn't know you slept over last night," I giggled and he shrugged and stretched, wincing.

"Yes, although I probably shouldn't have slept on this couch, I feel about 100 years older now," he grumbled, and I snorted.

"Oh no, you might whither away to dust," I joked and he bumped me with one of his legs, making a small 'oof' noise leave my mouth.

I sighed and pushed his legs off me, standing up, "I have to go back to the grocery, though...that guy made me drop all of my stuff," I said, scowling.

Alastor hummed, "yes...well I'll be accompanying you, that way you won't get yourself into another predicament!" He stated and I looked over at him.

"Um...no offense, but..." I motioned to all of him, and he cocked an eyebrow at me.

"What? You're saying I wouldn't pass for a mortal?" He asked, standing up to his full 7 ft height and giving me a big shark toothed smile.

I chuckled, "Oh no, silly me, you'd fit right in," I said sarcastically, and he chuckled.

"No need to fret darling," and with that he snapped his fingers. Red smoke surrounded him and made me cough as I waved my hand frantically.

"Blegh! Alastor, what—" my words caught in my mouth, and my eyes widened.

Standing where Alastor just was, was a tall man with light brown skin and a charming smile.

I blinked, my mouth hanging open slightly as I stared at him. A blush rose to my cheeks, and he chuckled.

I glanced from his smile to his eyes to his hair. He looked completely human!

His hair was short, but very fluffy like how it was before. His eyes were brown, but held a red hue beneath them.
