Ariels POV

When the elevator doors closed, Alastor deflated. I chuckled and looked over at him, tilting my head.

"Are we not feeling our overlord act today, hm?" I teased him gently. He lazily looked over at me and his tired grin turned annoyed.

"Oh hush..." he sighed, "but no...I swear I can't be bothered today, and if one more person rings my doorbell, they will be my lunch," he growled. I grabbed his hand, squeezing softly. The red glow in his eyes diminished and he looked down at me, his smile slightly less evil.

"Well, that's unfortunate for them, now isn't it?" I said lightly, and his smile increased as he chuckled. I love being able to make him laugh.

The elevator doors opened and we both stepped into the loft. It still smelled faintly like breakfast, and the soft pink morning light looked pretty coming through the windows.

I walked over towards the large double glass doors that lead out to the balcony. I slid one of them open, stepping out. Closing my eyes, I breathed deeply, wondering what I've missed up above.

My hands rested against the railing and Alastor came out behind me, shutting the door. I could feel the faint static he brings with him everywhere. On either side of me his hands found the railing as well.

He had me caged against the railing, resting his chin on the top of my head. I could tell he was surveying, and felt his hands slide overtop of mine.

Below us demons wondered about, scurrying, robbing, raping...normal hellish shenanigans. A little ways away I could see the large sign that read 'Happy Hotel'.

I smiled softly, wondering if Charlie has had any success in her little venture. Suddenly Alastor's arms were wrapped around me, his hands clasped together as he rested them on the bit of railing directly in front of me.

"Cretins..." he mumbled and I snorted softly, twisting around to face him. I had to crane my head up due to how close he was, and I tilted my head, "cretins?" I giggled.

He chuckled softly, leaning down closer to me, "that is what I said, my love," he teased and I scrunched my nose at him, then I sighed and turned back around.

"You have such a way with words, Alastor," I breathed softly, "how eloquently you describe those around us...so much thought," I said dreamily, waiting for him to realize I'm making fun of him.

Which wasn't long because he growled softly, "would you like to dangle over the balcony?" He said lowly and I chuckled.

"No, anything but that, Oh mighty radio demon," I quivered in mock fear and he chuckled lowly, lifting me up and sitting me on the edge of the railing.

"Why, I think I'd like to hear you beg for it," he growled softly, and I draped my arms over his shoulders. The feeling of his arms wrapped securely around my back let me know his threat was null.

I leaned closer to him, lowering my voice, "oh, please, please don't drop me. I have so much to live for," I purred softly, watching the red glow behind his eyes deepen.

He tightened his grip and let me hang off the balcony a bit more, my hands clasped safely around his neck. It was unbeknownst to me that his shadow was also below me, prepared in the off chance I accidentally fell.

I upped my playful begging, a giggle bubbling up my throat as the thrill of hanging over the balcony made my heartbeat quicken. "I'll do anything, please don't drop me, radio demon. Oh, please, I don't want to die," I said sweetly and he chuckled, pulling me back up.

I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck as he pulled me into a hug, hooking his arm under my butt to keep me off the ground.

His other hand gently moved my hair to the side, a gentle growl/purr hybrid rumbling in his chest.
