2 day later
"What ice cream do you want, baby?" I asked him walking into the ice cream parlor.
"Mint choco please," he said with a big smile. He definitely got that from me because his dad hated mint choco.
"I'll have 2 of those please and thank you," I said to the employee taking our order. I paid and sat outside since it was a super nice day. Once we finished we started walking to the park but halfway there a group of girls started screaming and forming around us. I tried to pick him but got pushed away from him.
"My son" I screamed, pushing girls that were too focused out of the way. I started crying and all the worst possible scenarios ran across my mind.
"Mom" I heard him yell.
"Steph baby!" I yelled back frantically.
"Mom" security pushed everyone into two lines. Steph was being held on Soobin's Shoulders. It gave me a sense of calm but I was still trying to get past security but they were not listening.
"THAT IS MY FUCKING SON LET ME GET TO HIM!" I screamed hysterically like a real mama bear. The security guard let me through and I ran to Steph. The manager covered me and Steph in Soobins arms pushing us into the building they were entering. Once we were out of sight I sat on the ground holding Steph crying while he sobbed scared in my arms. I was trying to stay calm with him in my arms. Soobin knelt down and hugged the both of us whispering that everything was going to be alright now.
"It's okay baby, I got you, let's go home. Thank you" I bowed but Soobin stopped me.
"The building is surrounded by fans. We are just going to have to wait here for a while." He gave me an apologetic sad smile. I nodded in understanding and looked around. There was a couch in the corner. I rocked Steph to sleep and watched the manager get ahead of things with the press.
"Here" Yeonjun handed me a drink.
"Thank you" I laid Steph on the couch gently and stood up to stretch.
2 hours later
I woke Steph up and fed him what they brought us. I ate the leftovers like I am used to doing.
"You don't have to do that. You can get something yourself" a deep voice interrupted my thinking.
"Uh well, this looks fancy so I will just eat what he leaves behind. I don't have too much money." I smiled at Steph watching a video on my phone.
"(Y/N) we need to talk." I saw Beomgyu and Kamal standing behind Soobin. I nodded and let them take Steph to play elsewhere. Soobin sat next to me and took my hand in his. The electricity he always gave me was still there.
"Why did you tell me?" He whispered. I had no valid reason but told him all of my thoughts.
"Your manager had just broken us up. Your career skyrocketed quickly and... I don't know... everything seemed easier this way. He asked about his dad a few days ago and then you suddenly showed up at my cafe. I am not going to lie these few years as a single mother has been the hardest but most rewarding. All I wished for was... all I wished for was to be able to share all of that with you." His eyes got teary. He raised my hand up to his lips and kissed the top of it.
"I have never stopped loving you. I have been searching for you everywhere since the jerk got fired. I am sorry I didn't fight harder to find you." I shook my head quickly and hugged him tightly.
"It was my decision that led us here, Okay? I thought I was doing the right thing but in the long run, it wasn't. I am sorry" He hugged me tighter and started sniffling.
"I want to be in his life" He pulled away looking over at him playing with Beomgyu and Kamal. I nodded and stood up taking his hand in mine and walking over to them.
"Mom! Mom!... I have 4 new uncles." He showed me 4 with his tiny fingers making me laugh.
"Yeah they are awesome uncles, aren't they? But you only said 4... Who is this then?" I pointed to Soobin, who was now sitting on the floor next to me.
"That's my dad" My eyes widened in shock at how he knew that so quickly.
"How do you know that?" I asked flabbergasted.
"Well, you have a picture of him in your office so I thought he was my dad. Am I right?" I nodded and gestured my head for him to go to Soobin with a wink and a kiss on the forehead.
"Hi dad, I am Steph." Soobin's eyes softened at Steph calling him dad and hugging him.
"I am dad," Soobin whispered, hugging him back.
A year later Soobin moved us back out to S. Korea. We stayed with his parents until we could find a place to live. His family spoils him rotten and he is best friends with his cousin. Mom came with me for a while just to help us settle in. My cafe is still blooming and I had to expand and franchise my business because of the fame the boys provided. I didn't think it was that big of a deal until it was a big deal.
Soobin and I got back into a relationship. We kept it out of the public eyes for the safety of Steph. He loved Steph more than anything and still loved me like the first time.
