"Soobin you need to pick your career or your girlfriend" Soobin was fighting with his manager to let him stay with me. I stood up and placed my hand on Soobins chest to get his attention. I know how much he loved his career and I know how much this meant to him...
So I made a decision. The hardest one I would make in my life.
"Soobin..." He looked down into my eyes watching my heartbreak little by little.
"No, I will not listen to you right now" I sighed trying to stay calm and not cry.
"Soobin if we are meant to be we will find our way back to each other. Just listen to your manager." I smiled sadly at him. He shook his head quickly with anger, pain, and confusion.
"NO! NO ONE IS LISTENING TO ME! I love you please no" He dropped to his knees hugging my waist.
"Yeonjun please come get him. I have to go." Yeonjun walked over prying his arms off me. I could hear Yeonjun yell to the others to help him so he wouldn't go after me. I didn't look back and kept walking.
I walked all the way to my Apartment in a numb daze. I didn't know if this was for the better good or not, but I knew I couldn't hold him back in his dreams. I slide down my bathroom door crying. I couldn't breathe and was gasping for air. My chest hurt and I knew at that moment...
I was never getting over him.
2 years later
"Simon Why is there so many people here that I had to come and help?" I walked into the cafe I owned getting straight to work to help my employees.
"Boss there is a concert and all of these people have been waiting in line for days." I was so confused.
"Who is here? No one does this for Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift!" He laughed at my choice of artists.
"A Kpop group. Hey, you lived in S.Korea before coming here. Maybe you have heard of them." I shrugged and went to help everyone else.
The day was jam-packed and we had no breaks. No one knew about this even so no one was prepared. I put the closed sign-up and turned to my team.
"All of you get a bonus for today. Go home!" I smiled.
"Thank You, Boss!" They all said in unison. They turned around to leave when they saw the mess felt behind.
"I can take care of it don't worry" I assured them.
"You came to help us. The least we can do is help you off the clock." I hugged all of them grateful for each and every one of them.
"Okay fine but the high schoolers have to go home sorry." We started cleaning with music blasting and go everything done before midnight.
"Stay safe!" I waved everyone off and locked up. I stayed behind doing a lot of paperwork for the bonuses and inventory. I was ready to quit for the night and go home when I heard a tap at the front door. 5 Super tall guys were standing outside with security.
"Hi, how can I help you?" I asked through the glass door.
"I know it says you are closed but we will pay double per person if we can please be let in to order something." I looked at all the people looking starved and my Empath heart ached for them. I signed and unlocked the door.
"It will take a few to get anything done since I am alone but you can come in and take a seat. Order what you want the menus are integrated into the tables." They piled in a few at a time thanking me in broken English. My Cafe also served food for lunch and dinner.
I looked at all my tables overfilled by the members and staff. I took a piece of paper and a pen for each table and placed them in the middle.
"Write your order and when everyone is done I will come to get it," I said then repeated in broken Korean. I placed the paper on the table with the 5 tallboys with dyed hair. One of them gently wrapped their hand around my wrist looking at my bracelet.
"This is pretty where did you get it? I gifted someone special one similar to this a while ago." My eyes moved down to my wrist then the boy's face.
"Binnie?" I gasped pulling my hand back.
"Do I know you?" I looked down not expecting that.
"UM... No well a long time ago maybe. Sorry, let me start getting drinks and come back for your orders." I walked to the back and stood in front of the drinks machine trying to calm my breathing and my racing thoughts.
'This can't be! It is not them! No! I refuse to believe it's them. Just calm down and get through the rest of the time they are here. Minute by minute (Y/N)' I pep talked some motivation into me. I got the drinks passed out and went back to make the food. Every table ordered the same one thing on the menu to make it easier on me. I served the food and sat behind the counter cleaning.
"Miss!?" Yeonjun called over to me.
"Yes, What can I do for you?" I asked smiling.
"Can I have your name and the cafe name so I can give it a good review?" I nodded and took my notepad out scribbling my name and the cafe name on it with some social media connected to the cafe as well and handed it to him.
"Your name is (Y/N)?" Beomgyu looked over at Soobin.
"Yeah!" I replied chewing on my bottom lip avoiding eye contact. Soobin walked over to me and took my left wrist in his. He pulled my long sleeve up to my elbow and gently twisted my arm over to see the inside of my forearm. The small Tattoo I got for my 18th birthday 5 years ago is still there. He ran his thumb over it before looking into my eyes. NO words were exchanged for what felt like an eternity.
"You said I didn't know you..." He whispered a little hurt.
"Well, you used to... not anymore." I sniffled trying to hold back my tears.
"Do you know how long and hard I have been searching for you? Once our dating ban got lifted and our awful manager got fired I went all Liam Neeson in the movie 'Taken' trying to find you." I was speechless at his confession. I really had no idea he was searching for me.
"I-" I let the tears flow freely.
"I am not trying to make you feel bad I am sorry" I shook my head assuring him he didn't make me feel bad.
"No! I just... I didn't think I was that important and after 2 years that's the last thing I thought you would ever say." He broke the distance barrier and hugged me tight like he was scared I would disappear again.
"You told me the day you disappeared that if we were meant to be we would find each other again. I held on to it all that time. Now, look! Is this enough proof we are meant to be?" I nodded but had a weird anxious rush.
"Soobin it's been two years. We don't know each other anymore. We are two completely different people." He looked behind at the full tables filled with people happily eating. He also looked at the clock on the wall to see the time.
"I don't think the important things change. Your big and kind heart certainly has not"
