"Soobin you need to pick your career or your girlfriend" Soobin was fighting with his manager to let him stay with me. I stood up and placed my hand on Soobins chest to get his attention. I know how much he loved his career and I know how much this meant to him...
So I made a decision. The hardest one I would make in my life.
"Soobin..." He looked down into my eyes watching my heartbreak little by little.
"No, I will not listen to you right now" I sighed trying to stay calm and not cry.
"Soobin if we are meant to be we will find our way back to each other. Just listen to your manager." I smiled sadly at him. He shook his head quickly with anger, pain, and confusion.
"NO! NO ONE IS LISTENING TO ME! I love you please no" He dropped to his knees hugging my waist.
"Yeonjun please come get him. I have to go." Yeonjun walked over prying his arms off me. I could hear Yeonjun yell to the others to help him so he wouldn't go after me. I didn't look back and kept walking.
I walked all the way to my Apartment in a numb daze. I didn't know if this was for the better good or not, but I knew I couldn't hold him back in his dreams. I slide down my bathroom door crying. I couldn't breathe and was gasping for air. My chest hurt and I knew at that moment...
I was never getting over him.
A FEW YEARS LATER
"Mom!" I heard the small voice of my 4 year old call me.
"Yes, baby? Do you need something?" I walked into his room to see him drawing a picture for Preschool.
"Do I have a dad?" My mouth went dry and my heart beat a little faster.
"Of course you do, why?" I asked, sitting next to him on the floor.
"Well I am supposed to draw a family picture but it's only been you, me, uncle, and grandma." I knew this day would come... I just didn't think it would be this soon. He is only 4.
"Well, families come in all sizes and are all different. Our family is just me, you, uncle, and grandma, but we all love each other and what's most important is that we love you and you are fed, clean, happy, and healthy." My heart-ached a little but I knew this day would come.
"Yeah that's true... hey can you tell me about my dad? Did you love him?" I smiled, pulling him into my lap.
"I still love him. You look just like him too." I poked his dimples making him giggle.
"Why is he not with you if you still love him?" I looked down surprised at his questions.
"You know you are super smart for your age" I playfully put my hands on my hips. He laughed at my dramatic action.
"Come on mom" he giggled causing his dimples to appear.
"Okay okay... he had to go to work in another city. I couldn't go because we were both too young. That's the end of the story. I will tell you more when you are older." I smiled at his whiny face.
"Mom come on" I kissed his forehead and placed him in bed.
"Nope, go to bed. Goodnight! I love you" I tucked him in and turned off the lights.
"I love you too mom" he yelled through the door. I sighed a breath of relief then threw myself on the couch. Steph's father doesn't know he exists.
I am a single mom of the love child between Choi Soobin and myself. I still loved him but lost contact with him a long time ago. Now he is too famous for me to even contact.
Next day
"Simon Why are there so many people here that I had to come and help?" I walked into the cafe I owned getting straight to work to help my employees.
"Boss there is a concert and all of these people have been waiting in line for days." I was so confused.
"Who is here? No one does this for Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift!" He laughed at my choice of artists.
"A Kpop group. Hey, you lived in S.Korea before coming here Steph was born there as well. Maybe you have heard of them." I shrugged and went to help everyone else.
The day was jam-packed and we had no breaks. No one knew about this event so no one was prepared. I put the closed sign on the door and turned to my team.
"All of you get a bonus for today. Go home!" I smiled.
"Thank You, Boss!" They all said in unison. They turned around to leave when they saw the mess felt behind.
"I can take care of it, don't worry" I assured them.
"You came to help us. The least we can do is help you off the clock." I hugged all of them, grateful for each and every one of them.
"Okay fine but the high schoolers have to go home sorry." We started cleaning with music blasting and got everything done before midnight. The babysitter even brought Steph to the Cafe and he was sound asleep in the backroom on the couch.
"Stay safe!" I waved everyone off and locked up. I stayed behind doing a lot of paperwork for the bonuses and inventory. I was ready to quit for the night and go home when I heard a tap at the front door. I laid Steph back down on the couch and walked out to see who was at the door.
5 Super tall guys were standing outside with security.
"Hi, how can I help you?" I asked through the glass door.
"I know it says you are closed but we will pay double per person if we can please be let in to order something." I looked at all the people looking starved and my Empath heart ached for them. I signed looking at the back room where Steph was sleeping and unlocked the door.
"It will take a few to get anything done since I am alone but you can come in and take a seat. Order what you want, the menus are integrated into the tables. Also, my son is sleeping in the back so please don't be too rowdy." They piled in a few at a time thanking me in broken English. My Cafe also served food for lunch and dinner.
I looked at all my tables overfilled by the members and staff. I took a piece of paper and a pen for each table and placed them in the middle.
"Write your order and when everyone is done I will come to get it," I said then repeated in broken Korean. I placed the paper on the table with the 5 tallboys with dyed hair. One of them gently wrapped their hand around my wrist looking at my bracelet.
"This is pretty where did you get it? I gifted someone a special one similar to this a while ago." My eyes moved down to my wrist then the boy's face.
"Binnie?" I gasped, pulling my hand back.
