He dragged her through the halls in all sorts of directions until she became confused on where they were going. She wanted to walk but thought there was no real point. Enough of her strength returned, though her hands were on fire and a broken nose made it painful to even breathe, she could walk.

Her life started to replay in her head. The memories of confidence and ambition, remembering how at such a young age she would study so much about one subject, but then the feeling of being crushed of all that ambition and being left it in the dust. Depression replaced happiness in a split second and she wanted nothing more than to forget those dreadful times.

"Go." He spoke after she realized they had stopped walking. Her eyes open and head lifted to see an opening in the wall that led to the midnight darkness of the outside. Obvious that the wall was blown out. "Go now before I change my mind." He demands and pushes her through the opening before it all assembles itself again.

She lied weak on the grass and painfully pulled herself to her feet. She had to take a second to sit against a wall. Though she was already in pain and her hands and magic was strained, she had to do something to help herself but she couldn't do any. She just had to build up the will power to get up and walk and as soon as she did that she didn't take a second to think before running as fast as her weak legs could take her.

The only way off the property was the bridge but it's constantly guarded and she didn't know if she could outrun them this time. She could use some roots from the ground below her to carry her across by once again, her magic was strained and needs to rest. Her only option right now was to rest her body enough for whatever would happen during her escape since all she could do was without magic. Run or fight.

"Maybe I should dig a hole and just hide until I got my stamina back but who knows how long that will take and they're probably sending out troupes to find me right now." She mumbles a plan to herself in a hurry. "I have two options: waiting it out until there are guards looking for me around every corner or take my chances now and get to a safe place with high hopes that I can outrun guards."

The first option was a scary thought so she went with running. "Okay legs, one last mad dash and I'll let you rest for the rest of the night and tomorrow." She pep talked herself and prepares to sprint her way past the bridge guards. Confidence lacking but desperate to get out of this place. She walked close enough across the bridge until she knew it was time to run for it. Just in time before anyone from the castle could spot her.

The guards barely had time to react before she ran for the tree line and disappeared from sight. The two looked to each other. "Was that important?" One asks while his buddy shrugged and they both go back just standing there like it never happened.

"I did it, I just gotta hide." She pants to herself while looking around for any possible hiding spot and trying her best to keep her breathing light. An empty log, a hollow in a tree, something that she could fit in. A nice little hole under a tree root seemed to do just fine for now. It was unnoticeable if you put a pile of leaves over it and it doesn't look like it was being used so.

In reality she dug this hole herself a year ago but forget about it. Past self looking out for her future self.

Gathering leaves and crawling in caused the injury in her hands to worsen but it was the least of her worries at the moment. If she didn't get rest that second she might just die.

The golden owl-masked boy walked nervously through the halls but kept the posture of irritation and intimidation to make it seem like he hadn't just willingly let the bad guy go. Though he wanted to give her time so he may have waited in that dead end hallway for a minute to buy her time.

"Troops! The girl escaped! Go out there and find her!" He demands guards passing by in the halls while he makes his way to his room to search for something.

Multiple troops were informed of the matter and go out to search every corner of the isles. Belos was not pleased by this and the boy intended to avoid him for now.

He scanned through his book shelf and found a spell to cast with his palisman to help him find tracks of any particularly chosen person. Calling his palisman to him he prepared to go out and search himself to find the girl. Though he feared what Belos would do if he ever discovered how he helped a criminal escape his grasp. He didn't know why she was able to guilt trip him so bad and he was ashamed that it worked so well but nevertheless, he chose to help her so that's what he's gonna do.
