4 - We Have to be Careful

It's been 3 days since almost getting petrified. Y/n has been replacing the bandages on her hand and they seem to be getting better but Goldy was probably right about having scars there from now on. "I'm not fully healed yet but by now I'm able to clench my hands into fists and it only hurts a little." She says and looks down at Melanie. "It's progress."

They have been hanging out in Latissa more and it seems no one is interested in turning Y/n in so far so she felt pretty safe hanging around. She's made a good impression on most of the citizens in the past so she trusts that they'd wanna repay her for something. At least she hopes.

Ah, and yet another chance for her to make an impression. "No! I can't join a coven, I'm not ready to choose!" Random citizen, Y/n is coming to save your freedom.

"Hey!" a shout is heard from behind the Emperor's Guards, and it grabs both of their attention. As soon as both of their heads turned in her direction she whacks them in the temple with her palisman. He lost his footing for a second but regained it again and the citizen runs off. Y/n stood her ground.

"Oh, the infamous Y/n! You're acting all tough now when only four days ago you were trailing blood through the halls of the emperor's castle!" Y/n averted her vision in embarrassment. "We all know you're weak enough to be captured now so don't expect us to give up."

"I never expected you to give up" She gives a snarky retort and prepares to strike again until someone sneaks up behind her and tries to jab her in the back of the head. She sensed them before they could strike and ducked but the guard in front of her went to swing his staff at her side, which she managed to dodge as well. "Why are you acting so cocky? You aren't the ones who caught me!"

"Make this easier on yourself and just surrender! Maybe your next life will be easier for you." Y/n's eyes filled with rage at that declaration and she used Melanie to teleport behind one of them and whack them in the head again, but this time she didn't miss and didn't spare an ounce of strength. Those helmets weren't enough to protect him from this impact since this blow was charged with a spin.

The first guard fell to the ground and Y/n stood on top of him and stood her ground proudly in front of the second guard. "Ready for nap time?"

As expected, Belos gave Hunter a talking too. It was scary but he was still in his position at least. He was just avoiding being at the castle as much as possible right now. Most of the time looking for Y/n to make sure she stays out of trouble but that doesn't seem like a possibility for her.

He hasn't seen her since that day and quite frankly he is getting worried she will get caught again. Though he knew that's not something to worry about since it did take the coven this long to actually catch her without his help.

"Make this easier on yourself and just surrender!" Some commotion was going on ahead of him in town so he intended to go check it out to handle it. "Maybe your next life will be easier for you." He turned the corner of the path to see two of our guards getting attacked. He was about to step in to prevent his comrades from sustaining more injuries.

One of them dropped like a fly and only as Hunter was walking over did he see who was in the middle of this chaos. "Ready for nap time?" Y/n threatened our other guard with a maniacal laugh while standing on the first one's back as he laid passed out on the ground. The second guard looked around in a panic while Hunter stood frozen and thought to himself 'Do I step in? If I have to make it look like I captured her again, it will make me look incompetent after not bringing her in, and if I let her win and escape it'll make me look weak. Maybe I should just back away.' "Hey! Golden Guard! Great Great timing!" The terrified guard called over.
