14 - Commission Mission pt.1

It was like a glowing cluster of dust, but you couldn't tell what color it was. It shimmered and it's shape changed as it grew, but the more it grew the more nervous the group got. Then a hand stuck out and each of them became more scared and on guard. "A hand...?"

A person stumbled through with a thump as she hit the floor. It only took a second for Eda, King, and Hooty to burst into tears and smother the stranger. "Luz!" They joined her on the floor and surrounded her.

Y/n and Hunter stood by and watched the reunion. Hunter knew her, but wasn't exactly emotional to see her. Y/n didn't have a clue who this person was other then the hints Eda gave her with the mentions of a human girl that used to stay with them. "Is this the human Eda keeps talking about?" She asks.

Hunter crosses his arms. "Probably."

As soon as the stranger got the chance to acknowledge the other two she greeted them. "Oh, the Golden Guard? What are you doing here, do you owe Eda a favor or something? It's weird to see you in such unprofessional uniform." She teased then looked to Y/n.

Y/n stuck her hand out to her. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Y/n! You must be the human Eda misses so much."

The stranger smiled. "I definitely am. My name is Luz." She says and tightens her grip on her hand. "So what business do you have here on the Boiling Isles? Are you in the Emperor's Coven?"

Y/n felt a little threatened. "Uh, no I'm just freeloading here." She says glancing over to Hunter. "Uh... Do you have a job in the human realm?"

"Nope, not yet, but I'm sure anyone would be happy to have me." She chuckled lightly and loosened her grip. "Whoo! You have no idea how long it took me to get here, like. Wow. The amount of things I had to collect was crazy."

"You actually made a portal here from your world?" Eda asks.

"Yep. It was a lot of work but it was worth it." She held her head high with confidence before giving Eda another hug. "Awe! I missed you guys so much! I wanna spend as much time with you all as possible, what are we gonna do?"

Hunter and Y/n looked at each other and explain. "Collect cash then head to the night market." They say simultaneously.

"Oooh, the night market. What are we doing there?"

Y/n grabbed Hunter by the wrist that had his coven patch on it, pulled it across her to present it and pointed to it. "Looking for a way to get this thingy off this thingy." Thingy 1 being the coven patch and thingy 2 being Hunter.

Luz's eyes widened in slight shock. "Golden Guard really wants to get rid of his coven patch? As in leaving the coven? Why?"

Hunter sighed. "It's a long story that we don't have to get into right now, can we just go-"

"He wants to leave the coven so he can feel more connected with me." Y/n states proudly. "And that seems like it is the only reason he has."

Hunter hung his head in embarrassment as Luz teased him. "Awe, sweet. Is she your girlfriend?"

"No!"

"He wished." Y/n teased. "Come on, let's get going." She left the house and everyone followed her out while Hunter took a moment in the room.

"Does she know?" He mumbled to himself. "Should I try and hide it?"

"Goldy! Come on! Get moving!" Y/n shouted from outside, interrupting his thoughts.

"We're doing the hard commissions, right?" Y/n asked. "Not that I'm going against Eda's advice from last time, but I think we can handle a hard one."
