Y/n walked home slowly, staring at the ground she followed like a curious little kid. It was later than she expected to leave but she was having fun and now as she made her way home thought about where she could find her own mythology books, or maybe ask Luz if there's any stories she has of her world. She's getting hooked again. Genre after genre, she cannot let go of books even if she can't bring herself to read them. Like it or not, there are many times where she finds she doesn't have the motivation to pick up a book no matter how badly she feels like reading it to the end. It's a weird feeling but somehow familiar.

"It's so dark out, I can't see any stars... Or the clouds." She hummed to herself looking up at the pitch black sky. It was a long day; nowadays everyday feels like a long day; she was tired and ready to go lay down and fall asleep but also take the time in bed to think. When she got home would she even get a moment to sleep or would she and Hunter be talking it out? She can hope that he's asleep at home but with how late she's out and no word he would be waiting for her to come home safe. No matter how he thinks she feels about him.

She yawned and shook her head to wake up a little more so she could make it home without feeling too tired but after her ears cleared up from the stressed sounds the yawn causes she heard rustling from the bushes. She paused a moment to look around and make sure she was alone but obviously saw no one. Maybe a bird. She turned back and continued forward but quickly regretted not questioning the noise further.

A tight hand grasped each of her biceps and the two hidden people yanked her back off her feet, causing her to slam her head against the ground and pass out. "Shi..t..." Her senses faded and her mind went blank so the two people who did this began to talk to each other.

"She's out?"

"Yeah, I think so.." A girl with brown hair slapped Y/n's face to confirm and looked up to her brother. "What now?"

"Let's take her to the guards." The brother who had long black hair said and looked around to make sure they weren't seen by anyone.

A third person appeared and butted in. "They'll take us too! Even if we escape there's no point turning her in if we get no reward!" They two put hands to their chin to think. He was right. "Let's take her back for now and think of a plan."

They nod and hoist the unconscious Y/n over the bigger guy's shoulder and the start to head back.

Luz checked the time and glanced to Hunter who was slowly nodding off but forcing himself awake each time. It was hard to watch but what could she do. She was starting to get worried too. "It's midnight now." She says and Hunter's face only twisted into more anxiety. "Maybe she stayed somewhere else?"

"And not tell us? That's just irresponsible."

Luz looked to King and shrugged. "Do you wanna wait a little longer? I think you need some sleep."

Hunter blinked repeatedly and rubbed his eyes with the inside of his wrists. "I'm waiting. She wouldn't go anywhere like that." He says and leans forward with his elbows on his knees.

Luz and Eda shook their heads and Eda grabbed Owlbert. "You're not gonna sleep and why sit here all night. Come on, let's go look for her." She says and hops on her palisman.

Hunter's head perked and he hopped on Flapjack too to follow her outside. King rode on Hunter's back and Luz with Eda and they flew around town looking for Y/n. They hoped to see her from above or walking the streets. Hunter knocked on the Blackthorn's door hoping she was there but Hawley said she went home 2 hours ago. Now he was over the top worried. Luz checked Willow's, Hunter checked her old house, Eda checked Marley's. She was nowhere to be found.

"Where else would she go?" Eda mumbled as they regrouped at a road intersection. "Goldy, is there anywhere else she liked to go or was familiar with?

"If I knew I would go there right now!" He exclaimed and clenched his fists, trying his hardest to listen over her ever growing voice in his head.
