Part 15

"Sweetheart." He tried to wake me up. "Sweetheart wake up."

"Hmm." Comes out of my mouth as I wrap my arms around his neck while I lay on his chest. Both still naked under the covers of the hospital bed.

"You need to get up baby. It's 4am." He whispers into my ear and he traces his fingers down my spine.

"Oh right, I need to get back to the patients." I say while getting up and rubbing my eyes. "Sorry I fell asleep. I guess I passed out right away."

He runs his hand down my back, rubbing it softly. "No need to apologize. I fell asleep too." He says while sitting straight in bed. 

"Haven't slept this good in a very long time." I say to him, trying to smile since the last time I slept next to a man was with my ex-husband.

"Let me take you to my place tonight and we'll finish this nap." He says and I scoop a little bit on top of him to give him a kiss. "Alright." I say and I get out of bed to grab my clothes.

"Uhm James...." I say as I turn around to face him, seeing him already staring at me.

"You're not getting your panties back Candace." He says and he stands up to grab his clothes.

"You can stay in this room to sleep James, you don't need to leave. It's 4am and this room won't be used anytime soon." I tell him quick since I don't want him to feel like he has to leave just because I need to get back to work.

He chuckles and comes closer. "You're sweet." He says and he holds my waist tight. "I have to work in a couple hours so I'm gonna go home to take a shower."

"Alright, I'll walk you out-" but before I could say anything else, I see an emergency notification coming from room 104.

"What's wrong?" He says, looking at me and the weird black thing in my pocket that's peeping.

"It's Casy, the little girl." I say as I run to her room and James follows me. I open the door and I see her sitting straight up in her bed.

"Hey what's wrong, everything okay? Are you hurt?" I say to her and James is standing behind me.

"So he is still here!" She says with a little smirk on her face. I look at James and then back to Casy. "What?" I say to her with a confused look, out of breath from running all the way to her room.

"Why is your hair all woeshy." Casy asks, frowning her eyebrows at me. I immediately run my hands through my hair to make it look normal again, while I can hear James laugh behind me. Leaning against the table next to the bed.

"Casy why are you awake? It's 4am. You just got surgery and you need all the rest you can get." I say to her while checking her blood pressure and her IV needle.

"I couldn't sleep, and I knew you would be awake since you're working." She says with the cutest smile I've ever seen. This adorable red cheeks of her and her 2 ponytails.

"So what have you two been doing while I was asleep? Something cool happened?" She says with an exciting tone since I'm always telling her what I see and do throughout the day.

"Oh we uhh, you know... James and I we just-" I say but he interrupt me and he's standing next to me.

"Dr. Candace and I were playing a game." He says while sliding his hand over my ass.

"I love games! What kind of games?" She says happy and she looks over to James to tell her.

"You know how Candace is trying to make you feel better?" He says to her and I look at him with one eyebrow up, knowing where he's going with this.
