"What do you mean 'do you wanna hear my opinion?" How can you have another opinion about this." I say as I sit down again with the coffee cups."Candace, he did this for you." Miles says and I frown my eyebrows at him, looking at Louis and then back to Miles.
"He killed someone. That's not something you just do." I say as I lean back in my chair, taking a sip of my coffee.
"You almost got raped, that's not something you just do either." Miles clarifies and he leans forward with his elbows on the table.
Louis clears his throat and we both look at him. "When you were younger, did your mother say she would do anything for you?" He says and I bring one eyebrow up.
"Yes.." I reply as I listen to what more he can say about this and I can tell they're both on James side.
"My mom always said that if I kill someone, she would help me hide the fucking body, doesn't matter what happened. She would help me." He says and I lean forwards to lean on the table in front of me.
"She also told me that she would go to jail for me. She said that if someone would touch me, rape me or whatever. She would kill that person and go to jail. Because she loves me and she would do anything for me." He says and my eyes are starting to get wet.
"My mom said that too but people just say things like that because it's sweet. They don't actually do it." I say as I'm trying not to cry on the spot.
"It's like when people say that they would catch a bullet for you. They won't actually do it when they're in that moment." I add and they both look at me with half a smile.
"James definitely would." Miles says as he grabs my hand. "Hundred procent." Louis adds.
I look to to the ceiling to blink my tears away and Louis grabs my hand too. "He's that person Candace. And I know that I can't talk it right. But he's the person who would actually go to jail for you."
"Someone who has the audacity to even think about raping someone, deserves dead and James knows that. If he didn't got the chance, he would've gone to another girl. That's how life's goes. And it's fucking disgusting." Louis says and I lean back in my chair.
"The moment those two men stood in front of James' door, everyting came back from the night Dylan died. I got scared because I thought I had to go to prison again."
"Are you crying because he killed jason or because you're afraid he's gonna end up like Dylan." Miles says as he stands up to bring away the coffee cups.
"Last one. I know that those are two different situations but I don't want James to go to prison for something he did for me." I say and I stand up, walking over to the counter.
"You want us to talk to him? Because we will." Louis says with a serious look on his face as he jumps on the counter to sit on it.
"We will punch him even though we're kinda on his side with this." Miles says with a fake apologetic face expression.
"Please don't." I say with a little smile as I'm grabbing my coat to put it on.
"Is it bad that I find it hot that he killed someone for you?" Miles says, grabbing his sweater to hide his mouth with his two fists.
"I agree, I bet he didn't think twice when he shot him." Louis says as he sticks his hands out to make a fake gun. Pretending to shoot me.
"Come on Candy, you two know each other for how long now?" Miles asks as he leans with his elbows on the counter.
"Since the summer. 5 months I think."
"Exactl- really? That long already?" Miles says while pulling his face back. Not gonna lie, I'm shocked too. It's been 5 months already since he hit my nose with the door and that he came to the hospital for his hand.
