It's a cold snowy morning in James' apartment. The window is open, and I'm rolled up in his blanket, rolling over so I can cuddle up against James, only to feel that he's not there.

I'm touching his spot next to me with my hands but it's cold, so he's been gone for a while now. I open my eyes to face an empty bed. I look on the nightstand —10am— and I see a small note.

"Morning sweetheart, I had to go to work early, and I didn't want to wake you up. Please come to my office in the afternoon. Keep me company will you. J.B"

I smile like crazy while I put the note back on the nightstand. He's one hell of a man. I make myself ready by taking a long bath. I watched a movie
Freedom writers— the best movie ever. I put on a black dress and some red lipstick. As soon as I'm done, it's 5pm and I make my way over to his office. I walk outside through the city, and I see Christmas trees everywhere, lights hanging on the roof of houses and a creepy Santa Claus singing for money. He looks like a predator if you ask me but whatever.

I've always loved Christmas. It makes me feel warm from the inside and, happy. Everyone is happy, singing, buying presents for their loved once. Lights and trees outside. People drinking hot coco and coffee every day in small cafés. Going to each other's houses for dinner.

Christmas is tomorrow and I can't wait to spend the whole weekend with James. We're already doing that almost every day, but this is different. It's Christmas baby.

I arrive at the building and walk inside, and in the middle of the room is the biggest Christmas tree that I've ever seen. Those trees you see in malls. I actually thought that he wouldn't decorate his building. He doesn't seem like the type of person. It was hard enough to convince him to get him a tree in his house. He said he never ever decorated his house for any holiday. I had to beg him for just a tree.

Without saying anything to the girl behind the desk, I walk to the elevator at the end of the hallway, pressing the 17th floor. The highest.

The door of the elevator opens, and I walk to this gigantic black door in front of me. When I reached the door, I can hear people talking. I put my ear against the door and I hear a couple men talking about the meeting. I lean against the wall, waiting for them to be done so I can go inside.

After a short time, maybe 10 minutes. The door opens and 5 men walk out. They all nod at me while walking past me to the elevator. I keep standing against the wall with my hands on my back. I follow them with my eyes, looking to the left. While my focus was on them, I didn't see James standing at the door of the meeting room, leaning against the doorway with a smirk on his face. Looking at me while I look at the elevator.

"You're waiting for someone pretty girl?" He finally says which got me out of my thoughts. I look at him and he looks me up and down, checking me out like he has never seen be before.

"Didn't know you had a meeting." I say and I bring my hands from behind my back, walking up to him and give him a hug around his waist. He grabs each side of my face and gives me a kiss on my forehead. He tilts my head a bit up and gives another kiss on my left cheek, and right cheek, he then gives a kiss on my nose, looks at me for a moment, studying in my whole face and then ends it with a filthy kiss on my lips. It almost forced me to stand on my tippy toes.

He let go of my face and we walk inside the meeting room. "How was your meeting?" I ask as I walk over to the big table in the middle of the room.

"Same old, same old." He says while breathing out. I walk up to the window, looking at the beautiful view. You can see everything from up here. Pretty sure whole New York. It's snowing like crazy, and everything is covered. Everyone who's walking on the street look like ants. I can hear the people singing jingle bells through their microphone from all the way up here.
