James drove to Sam's house right after he dropped Candace off at Miles' place. He knows it's unfair to send her away but it's for the best. She got hurt because of him and she means more to him than anyone else here. Not that Candace's cares but it's the thought that counts.

He parks his car, and he knocks on Sam's door. He opens immediately and without saying anything, he let him in.

"You brought her to those friends of hers?" Sam asks while he grabs two beers out of the fridge.

"I hate to be away from her but she's not safe right now. She's in more danger than me, I can assure you that." James says as he falls on the couch with the ice-cold beer.

"And you sure she's safe there?" He asks as he falls next to James on the couch. He turns on the tv and they're watching some weird boy things.

"Nobody knows where Miles lives so she's safe. I told her to not leave the house alone." James says and he takes a big sip of the beer while keeping his eyes on the tv.

"How long is she staying there?" Sam asks and he yells over something that happened during a game they're watching.

"I told her it could be a month. I don't wanna see her if I haven't found Dylan yet. If I'm with her, they're gonna use her to get to me." He says and he drinks his beer empty. A quick drinker just like Candace.

Sam stands up and hands him another beer while they keep watching the game.

"Give me a day and I found Dylan. I just wanted to make it longer for Candace. She's insane if she thinks I can go a month without..." James says but Sam gives him a smirk and finishes his sentence.

"...without sex." Sam says and James turns his face towards him.

"...without her." James says with a serious tone. Sam Looks at him with one eyebrow up and James lets out a little smirk.

"Sex too." James says and he turns back to the tv.

"Is it that good?" Sam asks with a chuckle as he takes a sip of his beer. Knowing that James can go months without sex. Even though he can get in anywhere.

He nods at Sam, and he drinks his second beer empty. "If you knew all the shit Candace and I do, you would understand." He says with a wink and Sam lets out a chuckle.

"Dude. Go easy on that girl." Sam says with a serious face expression, but the only thing James can do is shake his head slowly.

"Too late for that." He replies while grabbing a cigarette for himself and Sam.

"Remember that little girl you bought Christmas presents for?"

"Casy right? Sam asks as he turns the tv off to face James.

"The girl is dying. She will be dead in 3 days or something. And Candace has been blaming herself ever since." James says while frowning her eyebrows.

"Why? It's not her fault the kid got cancer, right?" Sam says while placing his beer on the table.

"She did an extra surgery with the hope she could save her, but she couldn't. So, she's been thinking about it every day. And then our fight about Dylan which made her sleep in a motel alone while she thought she was seeing ghosts. And now this situation... the killing and her ex-husband who's still alive." James says and Sam is quiet the whole time. Just listening.

"This girl has been through a lot. It's amazing how she can still be the person who she is you know. She cooks every day, she laughs about everything, and she forgave me for all the things I did, and I am so in love with her." He finishes and Sam gives him a smile.
