"is she your friend?"
you were curious as to who wrote the letter. it arrived about an hour and a half ago — while the pillar was busy entertaining your younger brother, you waited for him to return. when he did, you gave him the letter. he skimmed through the piece of paper before crumpling it and tossing it away.
he let out a scoff, a frown forming on his features, "her? my friend? she does nothing but get on my nerves."
"i can tell from what she wrote in this letter," you smiled, remembering how she said giyuu isn't liked by anyone.
ayumu was asleep by now, while you and giyuu talked in the living room.
"so? are you going to meet her tonight?" you asked, "it seems like she has something important to tell you."
"no. absolutely not. she's the last person i want to see."
"hm... she sounds fun to hang out with, no?"
"unless you enjoy getting teased and insulted twenty four seven, then sure."
you let out a sigh at how unhappy giyuu was. "come to think of it, your crow did sent me a letter once and it was from her as well," you recalled.
"i did what now?" a voice spoke from the window. giyuu's crow, along with yours, had returned from their little outing.
"of course he did, he has bad memory..." giyuu muttered in reply, shaking his head.
"m... my memory isn't that bad..." the crow replied with uncertainty.
"that's a lie," your crow chirped in.
"ah." giyuu's crow simply stated.
with a sigh, giyuu stood up from where he was sitting, and walked away.
"where are you going?"
"restroom."
upon hearing the door to the restroom shut, a knock sounded from the front door.
you perked up at the sound, staring at the wooden door for a second. you don't recall inviting anyone over, not to mention, it was almost one in the morning right now.
maybe i'm just hearing things. you shrugged it off, looking away from the door.
but another knock sounded through the house.
"someone's at the door!!" giyuu's old crow exclaimed out of the blue, causing you to jump.
"shhh!" you quickly hushed it, not wanting to wake ayumu up.
you made your way towards the front door, slowly sliding it open.
on the other side was a female you did not recognise. she looked younger than you and was wearing a demon slayer uniform along with a butterfly wing patterned haori.
"oh my, i'm deeply sorry to have disturbed you at such a timing," she spoke, her voice soft and calming.
"oh, it's fine, you didn't disturb me at all," you quickly replied.
"i see," she gave you a kind smile, "well then, may i know if there's someone in there with you?" she asked.
"he has black hair, he's a swordsman, also wears a mismatch haori and has a terri—" she cut herself off, "i mean, unique attitude."
"yes..?" you answered in confusion.
"that's great!" she exclaimed, with a closed eye smile, "do you mind if i come in? i have something to discuss with him."
you weren't really paying attention to what she was saying since you were a bit worn out and her soothing voice was really making you even more tired.
"oh, sure—" you stepped aside, opening the door wider to allow her to enter. but then you paused for a second, remembering something.
"wait, i'm sorry, who are you?"
