the first thing you did when you woke up was write a letter to your new friend.

good morning!! i forgot to ask, but how would you like me to address you? you can call me [y/n] :D by the way are you free today? i'd like to meet you in person!

it was half pass six in the morning now and you wondered if he was even awake.

while waiting for him to reply, you decided to do some chores.

about an hour passes and a crow comes flying in through your window with a letter in its grasp.

"letter for [l/n] [y/n]!"

good morning. i don't really mind, you can call me whatever you prefer. and no i'm not free today. why?

ehh..? i mean, i get that you're a pillar and all, but do you at least get day offs?

"ayumu! breakfast is ready, wake up!"

you heard soft groans and mumbles, and then silence for a few seconds.

"morning..." a soft voice muttered as your younger brother walked into the kitchen, his eyes barely open.

"go wash up first," you told him while setting the food on the table.

"i'm tired though..." he let out a yawn, "i'm going back to bed..."

"eh? you just woke up though?"

"good night," he yawned again, rubbing his eyes. he started walking away from you heading back to the comforts of the futon.

"ayumu, it's already ten," you raised a brow at him.

"ten more minutes, okay..?" he mumbled, falling face first onto the futon.

"i'll let you have some yakitori for lunch if you wake up now—"

"i'm up!" he yelled, standing back up, eyes wide open. "good morning [y/n]!" he didn't even wait for your reply before disappearing into the bathroom.

"geez..." you smiled, shaking your head.

"caw! letter for [l/n] [y/n]!"

well, all the pillars are assigned a specific region to patrol, so it really depends, i guess i'm usually free in the mornings. but when the sun sets i'll be busy.

oh i see! that looks like a lot of work to do, well i'll leave you alone for now, good luck on your missions!! :D

"i'm done washing up [y/n]!" ayumu's cheery voice greeted you. he took a seat next to you with a huge smile on his face.

"once we finish breakfast, let's go get the yakitori okay?" he exclaimed, picking up his spoon.

"nope, i said we'll get it for lunch."

"eh???"

"what?"

"then we'll go at twelve?"

"that's early—"

"i woke up early, so i can have lunch early too!"

"wait what, that's not how it works—"

"thank you for the food!"
