HK-47: The White Fang's Assassin

Chapter Thirty Two - Into The Lion's Den

As the battle between the White Fang Empire and Salem's forces raged, Adam and HK-47 along with Samanya and the Sword of The Faunus infiltrated the Monstra. Adam led his strike force through the halls within the Monstra. Much to their surprise, they found little to no resistance. 

Samanya: This place is quiet. Too quiet. 

Adam: The enemy knows we're here. They're waiting for us. Be on your guard. Kill anything that moves. 

HK-47: Response: With pleasure, Master. 

With that, HK-47 as well as Samanya and the Sword of the Faunus followed Adam with caution. They had their weapons ready for whenever Salem or her chief lieutenants made their move. Suddenly, cackling was heard as Tyrian Callows and Mercury Black made themselves known. 

Tyrian: You're either brave or foolish to defy the will of the goddess. 

Adam: Your "goddess" stands in my way. Nothing shall stop me.

Mercury: You're in for a rude awakening, Taurus. You have no idea what you're up against. 

Adam: You underestimate me as you always have. It was I who destroyed Atlas. It was I who brought the Atlesian Military to it's knees. If your goddess was as powerful as you claim she is, then why have I laid these powerful empires to waste. 

HK-47: Query: Can we kill them already, Master? 

Adam: We are done talking. 

HK-47: Weapons activated. Assassination protocols engaged. I have been looking forward to this!

Samanya: Sword of The Faunus! To arms!

With that, Adam led the charge against Tyrian and Mercury. But as this happened, it seemed as though Tyrian and Mercury multiplied. Samanya attempts to use her Maiden powers to clear the area, but nothing happens. 

Samanya: W...what?!

Mercury: So you brought the new Winter Maiden with you, Taurus? Saves us the trouble of hunting her down. 

As Adam and his followers fought against the large group of Tyrians and Mercurys, HK-47 noticed something rather odd. In his point of view, Adam and his followers were fighting nothing. He also notices Tyrian and Mercury slowly moving towards Adam. Without hesitation, Adam steps forward. 

HK-47: Interjection: Stand back, meatbags!

Mercury: Out of my way, tincan!

Without hesitation, Mercury lands a powerful kick to HK-47 with his mechanical leg. The kick catches him off guard, but he quickly recovers. He quickly notices a heat signature hiding behind cover. Without hesitation, HK-47 fires at the cover, forcing Emerald to rush out of cover. This forces her to rush out of cover, breaking her concentration and ending the illusion. As Adam and the Sword of The Faunus were freed from the illusion, they turned their attention to Salem's chief lieutenants. 

Adam: I've had enough of your games! Kill them! Kill them all! 

With that, Adam and his followers clashed against Tyrian, Emerald and Mercury. Immediately, they were forced to retreat. As they retreated, HK-47 shoots Mercury in his mechanical leg, blasting it off. 

Mercury: Argh! 

As Mercury attempts to crawl away, HK-47 grabs him by the neck and looks into Mercury's eyes. 

HK-47: Query: Tincan, am I?

HK-47 then runs his fist into Mercury's chest and pulls out his still beating heart. The last thing Mercury saw before he died was HK-47 holding his still beating heart. After killing Mercury, HK-47 joins Adam and the others in chasing down Tyrian and Emerald. HK-47 was soon ambushed by Hazel. Adam and his followers go forward while HK-47 stays behind. During the scuffle, Hazel manages to restrain HK-47 as Watts enters the room holding a device.

Watts: What a fascinating Droid unit. Your skills would be better utilized under Salem. 

Watts then places the device on HK-47's head and activates it. The device then attempts to reprogram HK-47. As the device attempts to reprogram HK-47, he fights back. 

Watts: I wonder who designed you. 

HK-47: Correction: I am one of a kind, you soon to be dead meatbag!

HK-47 then grabs Watts by the throat and administers a lethal electric shock on Watts, killing him. Once Watts was taken care of, he breaks free of Hazel's grip and begins to attack him. Despite Hazel's strength, HK-47 overpowers him. As Hazel attempts to regain the upper hand, HK-47 aims his blaster rifle at Hazel's face. Before Hazel could react, HK-47 pulls the trigger, killing Hazel with a shot to the head. Meanwhile, Adam continues leading his followers in chasing down Tyrian and Emerald. Eventually, Tyrian and Emerald are cornered.

Emerald: You have no idea what you've brought upon yourself.

Tyrian: Look at you, Taurus! Killing you will surely please my goddess!

Adam: Your goddess is nothing more than a masquerade. A masquerade that I intend to cut into ribbons! Your goddess will fall before my blade. 

With a mad grin, Tyrian charges at Adam. Adam was able to easily parry Tyrian's attacks. As Tyrian dueled Adam, Emerald took the fight to Samanya. Using her Maiden powers, Emerald was easily able to overpower Emerald. In a last ditch effort to gain the upper hand, Emerald attempts to use her Semblance to cast an illusion on Samanya and the Sword of The Faunus, but Samanya blasts Emerald with a powerful magic blast. The Sword of the Faunus then charge at Emerald and impale her with their swords, fatally wounding her. Emerald attempts to fight back, but Samanya finishes her off. Meanwhile, Tyrian continues to attack Adam. 

Tyrian: Your end will come soon, Taurus. Know this before you die, you will die by the order of a force greater than you could ever be! When you die, no one will remember you! 

Adam: What you face is no longer a man. What you face is an idea and ideas cannot die. But you will and so will your goddess. 

Adam readies his Moonslice Semblance as his sword glows red. In a last ditch effort, Tyrian lashes out in an attempt to kill Adam. Unfortunately for Tyrian, Adam unleashed a final attack with Moonslice and cuts Tyrian in two, killing him. As HK-47 rejoined Adam and the others, they continued making their way through the halls of the Monstra. Meanwhile in the throne room, Cinder speaks with Salem. 

Cinder: Taurus is here. He has killed the others.

Salem: Let Adam and his band of Faunus come to me. They know not what they face.

Salem and Cinder would wait for Adam and his followers to come to them. In that moment, a direct battle between Adam Taurus and Salem was inevitable.
