Weeks have passed since the White Fang Empire destroyed Argus. All of Remnant held it's breath, knowing that the White Fang Empire had immeasurable firepower. But with Oscar in his custody, Adam thought of the shadow war between Ozpin and Salem. It was a war that spanned millennia. In the grand scheme of things, the White Fang was but a dot. Adam reevaluated the danger Salem posed. He knew that if the White Fang Empire was going to conquer Atmos, Salem needed to destroyed. But before he could wage war on Salem, he first needed to find her. And he knew exactly who to talk to. Adam and HK-47 made their way to Oscar's cell.

HK-47: Command: Up, meatbag!

Adam: You're going to tell me everything you know about Salem.

Oscar: I....I don't know what you're talking about.

Adam: The only reason I haven't killed you is because when I do, you'll be reincarnated into someone else. But that doesn't mean I won't make you suffer.

Adam then turns to HK-47 and nods to him. Without hesitation, the Assassin Droid grabs Oscar by the throat and slams him to the ground. He then kicks Oscar with enough force to knock him back several feet. Adam then gestures HK-47 to stop as the Droid does so.

Adam: HK told me that you had planned to use the last wish on the Lamp to try and stop me. I'm flattered.

Oscar said nothing while glaring at Adam.

Adam: When you saw Salem being driven before me, how did it feel? How did it feel to watch as did in one battle that a millennia of fighting did nothing.

It was at this moment that Ozpin took control of Oscar and spoke to Adam.

Ozpin: Your "victory" over Salem is nothing. If you know Salem as I do, then you'll know that this victory won't last. You have made yourself a clear threat to Salem's goals. She will focus all her efforts in burning your empire to the ground from the very foundations.

Adam: Countless little lives struggling and dying together, like tiny cells making up a great beast struggling towards its own elimination; seeking blood whilst spilling blood; continuously multiplying and receding; fighting with itself without end. That is the war between you and Salem. The Relics. The Maidens. Every player willing and unwilling that lived and dies. It all comes back to the story of the Girl In The Tower. That was where it all started, isn't it?

As Adam says this, Ozpin fell silent. He could tell that the story of the Girl In The Tower was the pinpoint of everything that has happened. Adam then shows Ozpin the Lamp.

Ozpin: What are you....

Adam: Jinn.

As Adam says this, time froze as cyan smoke emanates from the Lamp. Soon enough, the form of Jinn takes form and stands over Adam, HK-47 and Oscar.

Jinn: Why, hello again old man. Did you have a question for me?

HK-47: Anaysis: Another ethereal meatbag.

Ozpin: What do you think you're....

Adam: How do I find Salem?

As Adam asks Jinn the question, Jinn reveals the Evernight Castle in the Land of Darkness.

Adam: This place is unfamiliar to me.

Jinn then forms a map of Remnant. She then highlights a blank spot at the furthest corner of the map.

Jinn: The location of Salem is revealed. All three questions have been answered.

As Jinn said this, her form vanished and time unfroze. Adam was satisfied with the results.

Ozpin: You used the last question. Now it will be a hundred years before the Lamp can be used again.

Adam: It was a necessary sacrifice. After all, you planned to use that question for me. Salem won't be expecting an attack on her home. We will catch her off balance.

HK-47: Query: What of this meatbag?

Adam glances over to a horried Oscar. At this point, he had fulfilled his purpose. But he was no fool.

Adam: Don't kill him. The last thing we need is for him to be reincarnated and potentially find his way back to Blake and her friends. Once Remnant is conquered, he dies. HK, me sure he doesn't try to escape.

HK-47: Statement: Yes, my master.

As Adam exits the room, HK-47 turns his attention to Oscar. At that point, Oscar was now in control. Without warning, HK-47 aims his blaster rifle and fires a shot at Oscar's chest. The shot blasts Oscar back several feet. HK-47 walks over to Oscar.

HK-47: Anaysis: You won't die, meatbag. My targeting computer targeted your spine. The placement of my shot will render you unable to use your arms and legs, making escape statistically impossible.

As HK-47 said this, Oscar groaned in pain as he attempts to move only to find his arms and legs unresponsive. The pain was shared with Ozpin.

HK-47: Mockery: Oh what a fragile thing meatbags are.

With that, HK-47 left the room to help Adam Taurus plan out the attack on Salem's castle. As Oscar was locked in the room, he was unable to move, paralyzed by the shot from HK-47's rifle. Both Oscar and Ozpin had no choice but to lament on the destruction that would soon fall on Remnant. It didn't matter if victory went to Adam or Salem. Victory for Salem meant the destruction of Remnant. Victory for Adam meant that Remnant would fall under the banner of the White Fang Empire. And in the minds of both Oscar and Ozpin, they couldn't decide which was the worst fate. And what bothered them the most was that there was nothing that either of them could do. But for now, all Oscar and Ozpin could do was lament on the shadow of war.
