HK-47: The White Fang's Assassin

Chapter Ten - A Necessary Sacrifice

In the aftermath of Sienna Khan's death, Adam along with HK-47 begin to reshape the White Fang into a fierce and independent fighting force free of outside control. Despite this, there are still enemies that threaten to destroy it. In the settlement of Kuo Kuana on Menagerie, two members of the White Fang named Corsac and Fennec Albain has summoned Ilia Amitola. 

Fennec: Sister Ilia, thank you for meeting with us.

As Ilia approaches them, she bows to them. 

Ilia: How may I be of assistance?

Corsac: Please, stand. We have wonderful news.

Ilia: What is it?

Fennec: We finally received a message from the Mistral brotherhood: the operation was a success. Adam Taurus has claimed his place as the High Leader of the White Fang.

Ilia: Good. And...Sienna?

Corsac: Buried... with honor. The other branches of the Fang have been given the story that was agreed upon.

Despite having immense respect for Sienna Khan, she simply sighed. 

Ilia: A necessary sacrifice. We won't forget everything she did for us.

Fennec: Indeed.

Corsac: Your maturity and understanding in regards to this matter is appreciated, and it is why we've summoned you here this evening.

Fennec: The White Fang is experiencing... a transitional period.

Corsac: Growth requires change.

Fennec: And change can be painful.

Ilia: If it's for the betterment of the Faunus, then... it's a pain we can endure. What's our next mission?

There was a brief moment of silence. 

Corsac: Containment. With the CCT towers still inoperable, we have the luxury of control over the flow of information.

Fennec: News of Adam's ascension has yet to reach Menagerie, but when it does, the citizens of Kuo Kuana will undoubtedly react poorly now that the chieftain has spoken out against us.

Ilia: It's my fault the Belladonnas had any ground to stand on.

Corsac: Do not concern yourself with past failures, Ilia. Focus on the future. We have an opportunity for redemption.

Ilia: What do you need me to do?

Fennec: The Belladonnas are the only remaining threat to Adam's assault on Haven Academy.

Corsac: And so, they must be silenced...

Upon hearing this, Ilia was visibly taken aback by this. She took a brief moment to collect her thoughts.

Ilia: S...silenced?

Corsac: Like Sienna. They stand in the way of true progress for our people.

Fennec: We would never put such a burden on you alone, of course. Your brothers and sisters will be at your side, but your relationship with their daughter makes you an intrical part of this operation.

Ilia: Blake?

Corsac: We know how close you are with young Blake. Rest assured, High Leader Taurus has requested she be taken alive, but we cannot risk having her present to defend her family.

Ilia: But, the people of Menagerie--

Corsac: Will come to understand what happens to those who speak out against the White Fang.

Fennec: And will be left without a leader until our victory is complete.

Ilia was conflicted by this. While she cared about Blake and her family, she was devoted to the White Fang. 

Corsac: A necessary sacrifice, Sister Ilia.

Corsac then plays the message they were given prior to her arrival. He activates the device which shows a holoprojection of Adam Taurus. 

Adam(Holoprojection): You have been directed by the highest authority. The Belladonnas have been named traitors to the Faunus. The penalty for such treason is death. Your mission will be to kill Ghira and Kali Belladonna. Blake however is to be brought to me alive. I will carry out her execution myself. To ensure the success of your mission, I will be sending my most trusted enforcer.

As the message played, the sound of mechanical footsteps were heard. Soon enough, HK-47 had entered the room. Ilia was in shock. This was the first time she had seen HK-47. She had heard stories about him, but she didn't think that the White Fang's assassin was a Droid. 

HK-47: Query: Has the Belladonnas been located?

Corsac: Yes, HK-47. Brother Yuma has informed us of their location. They rest within their house. They don't suspect a thing. 

HK-47: Statement: Your orders are clear. We are to execute Ghira and Kali Belladonna for their crimes against the master. We are also to bring Blake to the master alive. 

HK-47 then glances over to Ilia. His red photoreceptors sent chills down Ilia's spine. 

HK-47: Statement: As the master said, you have been directed by the highest authority. I am to make sure this operation goes smoothly. Failure will not be tolerated and will be punished accordingly. 

Ilia felt intimidated by HK-47's presence. Despite his calm and somewhat sarcastic voice, HK-47 terrified her. She began to wonder how HK-47 came into Adam's service. Ilia bowed her head and left the room, leaving HK-47 alone with Corsac and Fennec. 

Fennec: She's right to worry about the citizens. It's possible they may come to see Ghira as a martyr.

HK-47: Analysis: I've killed many martyrs in my time, meatbag. Simply kill them in the most gruesome and violent way possible and fear will do it's job. If all else fails, then a good massacre of meatbags will finish the job. 

Corsac and Fennec bowed their heads at HK-47 while the droid looks out the window and sees the Belladonna house. 

HK-47: Declaration: We have some meatbags to kill.

In that moment, the White Fang cell on Kuo Kuana began preparing for their mission to kill Ghira and Kali Belladonna as well as capture Blake and bring her to Adam. For HK-47, this mission was yet another excuse to kill more meatbags in the name of his master.
