HK-47: The White Fang's Assassin

Chapter Forty Five - Hellfire

As the White Fang Empire commenced it's invasion on Salem's castle, swarms of Droid and Faunus fighters charged into the battlefield, facing a seemingly endless horde of Grimm. In the skies, the White Fang fleet rained fire on the castle and the area around it. At the bridge of the Tartarus, Adam Taurus watched as his forces battled against the Grimm. Standing by his side were HK-47, Penny and Samanya. Adam conducted his forces with lethal precision. 

HK-47: Analysis: Our forces are pushing the Grimm meatbags back to their holds. 

Adam: The Dark Queen is holding back. She's plotting something. Inform all White Fang ground forces to proceed no further than the entrance to the castle. 

As Adam's orders were relayed to the entire White Fang attack force, the White Fang soldiers followed Adam's orders to the letter. Outside the Evernight Castle, the White Fang fortified their position, holding their position until the White Fang ships arrived. As the White Fang held their ground, swarms of Grimm began flooding their position. Had it not been for the Droids supplied by the Star Forge, the Faunus forces would've been overrun and slaughtered by the Grimm. Soon enough, the White Fang mechanical walkers arrived to mow down the Grimm at the foot of the Evernight Castle. The walkers were soon met by a large pack of Beringels who stormed into battlefield and attacked. The White Fang fortifications took a heavy blow as they suffered heavy casualties. The walkers were able to think the Beringels, but not before the Beringels could take down a few walkers with them. As the White Fang ground forces held the ground, the White Fang dreadnoughts continued the aerial assault on the skies. On the bridge, Adam planned out the next stage of the invasion.

Adam: Once the skies have been cleared, I will take a squadron in and storm the castle!

Suddenly, multiple Nevermores swarm the skies and launched an all out assault on the White Fang fleet. Multiple ships were destroyed by the Nevermores. The Tartarus itself sustained heavy damage from one of the Nevermores. As the White Fang Fleet launched their counter attack, Adam coordinated the counter attack.

Adam: I want all dreadnoughts to focus fire on the Nevermores! I want those beasts blown out of the sky!

Samanya: What about our ground forces?

Penny: Statement: Our Droid forces should be able to hold against those Grimm meatbags.

Adam: My orders still stand! All dreadnoughts focus fire on the Nevermores!

Following Adam's orders, the White Fang dreadnoughts fired on the Nevermores. The Tartarus led the charge as it devastated the Nevermores. However, one of the Nevermores lands a devastating strike on the Tartarus, severely damaging it. On the bridge, Adam Taurus showed no fear as he rallied the crew of the Tartarus. 

Adam: Show no mercy! Our victory will not be stolen by mindless beasts! When we destroy Salem, there will be no one to stop us! 

Spurred by Adam's words, the crew of the Tartarus doubled their efforts to fight the Nevermores. Meanwhile inside the Evernight Castle, Salem and Cinder watch the ensuing battle. 

Salem: Look at them Cinder. Scurrying around like insects. 

Cinder: You're given them far too much ground. This is not the Silver Eyed Girl and her friends. 

Salem: You're right. Adam Taurus is blinded by ambition. So blinded that he can't see the sun melting his wings. Even if Adam and his band of animals manage to push into the castle, they have no means of destroying me. 

Cinder looked upon the battlefield with concern. Unlike Salem, Cinder saw the White Fang Empire for what they truly were, a real threat. Back on the battlefield, the Star Forge was able to produce more dreadnoughts. The Grimm attempt to attack the Star Forge, but the Star Forge's defense proved too much for the Grimm to break through. Even the Nevermores were unable to punch through the defenses of the Star Forge. After an arduous battle, the White Fang fleet managed to push back the Nevermore. The skies were now clear enough for Adam to begin his landing. Multiple gunships began pouring out of the White Fang dreadnoughts and began landing throughout the battlefield. Adam Taurus himself along with HK-47, Penny, Samanya and the Sword of the Faunus boarded a gunship headed straight to the fortification near the entrance to the castle. At the foot of the castle's entrance, the White Fang ground assault team had sustained heavy casualties. The bodies of both Faunus and Droid were scattered around the battlefield. But the number of Grimm corpses outnumbered the losses sustained by the White Fang. The High Leader of the White Fang felt pride in this display as he approached the bloodied lieutenant who had loyally served Adam's side.

Adam: What is the status of our ground forces?

White Fang Lieutenant: Our forces are sustaining heavy casualties, but we're holding our line, High Leader. 

Adam smiled as he turned his attention to the rest of the White Fang attack force.

Adam: THIS IS WHO YOU SHOULD ALL STRIVE TO BE! THIS MAN FACES HORDE AFTER HORDE OF THESE MONSTERS, YET HIS LOYALTY TO THE CAUSE GIVES HIM THE STRENGTH TO FACE SUCH HORRORS HEAD ON! I AM PROUD TO FIGHT ALONGSIDE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU! NOW WE STAND IN THE HEART OF THE DARK QUEEN'S KINGDOM! WE WILL BURN HER CASTLE TO THE GROUND AND SHOW HER THE UNRELENTING FURY AND CONVICTION OF THE WHITE FANG EMPIRE! MY ORDERS ARE SIMPLE: FIGHT! FIGHT TO YOUR LAST BREATH! FIGHT FOR THE GLORY OF THE FAUNUS! FIGHT FOR THE GLORY OF OUR CAUSE! FIGHT FOR THE GLORY OF THE WHITE FANG EMPIRE!

White Fang Lieutenant: FOR THE WHITE FANG EMPIRE!

White Fang Soldiers: FOR THE WHITE FANG EMPIRE! FOR THE WHITE FANG EMPIRE! FOR THE WHITE FANG EMPIRE!

In that moment, the men and women of the White Fang Empire were ready to lay down their lives for the cause. As they prepared for the next wave of Grimm, Adam and his most trusted lieutenants would enter the Evernight Castle with the goal of eliminating Salem once and for all.
