HK-47: The White Fang's Assassin

Chapter Forty - A Special Assignment

In the aftermath of the White Fang Empire's victory in Argus, fear grips Remnant as the last remnants of the Atlesian Military was destroyed. Any hope for a retaliatory strike from the Atlesian Military died in Argus. As morale soared for the Faunus of the White Fang, the Star Forge continued to mass produce thousands of warships and Droids at an accelerated rate that even the Atlesian Military could never achieve. But as the strength of the White Fang Empire grew, Adam Taurus knew that he could not become complacent. Despite his recent victories and the continued production of warships and Droids by the Star Forge, the White Fang Empire was beset on all sides by enemies seeking to undo everything he fought to achieve. The remaining kingdoms of Remnant were preparing for war against the White Fang Empire. Salem and her cabal was doing the exact same thing. But Adam was more interested in Blake and her allies. Despite not having any sort of military behind them, he considered them the biggest threat because of what they represent. But for now, Adam focused his attention on the Remnant kingdoms. As the Star Forge continues to mass produce ships and Droids, Adam gathers his inner circle at the Command Center. In the room was HK-47, Samanya and Penny.

Adam: As we speak, our forces continue to grow thanks to the Star Forge. But we cannot become complacent. Our Empire is beset on all sides by enemies who seek nothing less than our destruction. HK-47, I have a special assignment for you and the Atlas Droid.

HK-47: Query: Who do you need killed, Master?

Adam: I want you and the Atlas Droid hunt down Blake and her friends. They seem to know about the nature of the Maidens and the Relics.

Penny: Statement: They are in possession of a Relic. The Relic of Knowledge.

Adam: Tell me more.

Penny: Explanation: The Relic summons a being called Jinn who can answer only three questions every one hundred years. These questions can be about anything so long as they don't pertain to the future.

Samanya: How many questions are left?

Penny: Answer: Based on what the meatbag Ruby said, only one.

As Penny informed Adam of the status of the Lamp, he knew that these Relics were the key to solidifying his control over Remnant. Not only that, but the Spring Maiden was with them. For Adam, finding Blake and her allies was a top priority. 

Adam: HK, you and the Atlas Droid hunt down Blake and her allies. I want you to recover the Relic. If possible, bring the Spring Maiden to me, alive. 

HK-47: Response: Understood, Master. 

Adam: Penny, is there any other person of note within that group? Someone who might be of some use?

Penny: Answer: Actually, there is. There's a farm boy among them. His name is Oscar Pine.

Samanya: And why is a human farm boy of any significance?

Penny: Answer: Because that farm boy is the current host of Ozpin's spirit.

Upon hearing this, Adam became greatly interested. He knew of Ozpin through reputation. When he briefly worked with Cinder Fall during the Fall of Beacon, she spoke about Ozpin as if he was a grand player. This piece of information confirms that Ozpin was the other major player in the shadow war he recently discovered. Capturing Oscar could potentially provide Adam with more information about the Relics and the Maidens and perhaps even information on Salem. At the same time, he wanted Blake to be captured alive as he had plans for her. Despite knowing that she would never join him, Adam held on to the hope that Blake would come around and join him. But Adam was no fool and he was ready to kill her should she refused. With all the details now known to him, he briefs HK-47 and Penny on their mission

Adam: Hunt down Blake and her allies. Your priority is to capture Ozpin's host and deliver him to me alive as well as acquire the Relic. If you can, capture Blake and the Spring Maiden and deliver them to me alive. 

HK-47: Query: What of the other meatbags, Master?

Penny: Recommendation: The other meatbags are of no importance. 

Adam: The rest are expendable. Kill them. 

HK-47: Statement: Happily, Master.

Adam: As it stands, the White Fang Empire is on it's way to becoming the most powerful force on the face of Remnant. But we must not become complacent or all that we have fought so hard to achieve will have all been for nothing. HK-47, I am trusting you to complete this mission. Time and time again, you have proven yourself to be the most capable of my allies. 

HK-47: Conclusion: Rest assured, I will achieve the satisfactory results you desire! Come along, Penny! We have meatbags to hunt!

With that, HK-47 and Penny set out on their mission to hunt down Blake and her allies. As they prepared their equipment, Penny speaks to HK-47.

Penny: Analysis: Hunting those meatbags shouldn't be too difficult. There's only so many places they can go. I am most eager to engage in some unadulterated violence, especially to those annoying meatbags. 

HK-47: Agreement: That was my thought as well! How tolerating such annoying meatbags didn't drive you mad, I have no idea.

Penny: Commentary: I would chalk that up to the programming my meatbag creator programmed into me as well as the Aura he used to create me. But you have made it possible for me to overcome my meatbag tendencies. Query: Now then, shall we find something to kill?

HK-47: Agreement: Why yes! Let us engage in unadulterated violence!

With that, HK-47 and Penny set out on their mission to hunt down Blake and her allies with the intention of completing the objectives given to them by Adam Taurus. As they began their hunt, Blake and her allies would attempt to regroup while the White Fang Empire grows ever more powerful.
