Once HK-47 returned to Vale, he made his way to the coordinates given to him by Adam. On they way there, he once again saw Blake Belladonna who was walking with her team. Once again, HK-47 thought about pulling his blaster rifle and killing her. But HK-47 respected Adam's wishes and continued his way to the coordinates. Eventually, HK-47 reached the coordinates which was just outside Beacon Academy. He was then approached by Cinder Fall as well as Emerald and Mercury. HK-47 resisted the urge to shoot them.

Mercury: Well well well, looks like Adam Taurus's personal robot is gonna be serving us.

HK-47: Objection: I still serve Adam Taurus, you moronic meatbag. The only reason I'm even here because the master has given me specific orders to not only work with you, but to not kill you.

Emerald: Pretty confident for a robot.

HK-47: Commentary: If it were up to me, I'd shoot you all and go on my merry way.

Upon hearing this, HK-47's feelings towards Cinder and her group were made known. Despite HK-47's desire to kill them, Cinder didn't feel threatened.

Cinder: You're nothing more than a robot who doesn't know it's place. I'll tolerate your insults simply because your skilled in killing. But if you jeopardize this mission, I won't hesitate to turn you into a scrap pile.

As Cinder gave her warnings to HK-47, the Assassin Droid couldn't help but laugh.

HK-47: Statement: Your laughable attempts at intimidation are wasted on a Droid such as I. I've killed meatbags far more powerful than you. Assessment: My targeting computer has already scanned your soft spots. The first shot would immobilize you and the second would spill your slippery components onto the floor. But luckily for you, my master does not desire your extermination.....for now.

As HK-47 said this, Cinder turned to Emerald and Mercury. They simply nodded. On instinct, HK-47 placed his hand on his blaster rifle.

Cinder: There is no need for us to fight one another. There is much that we must accomplish.

HK-47 showed no interest in Cinder's plans. To him, they were beneath him as his loyalty was to Adam Taurus. Against his better judgement, HK-47 followed Adam's orders and went along with Cinder's plans. In the weeks that followed, Adam would soon bring a detachment of the White Fang and perform various operations for Cinder. During this time, HK-47 studied the movements of Beacon and those who resided there. He was given a special assignment by Adam himself to study Blake's movements while under strict order to not kill her. As this happened, the Vytal Festival was in full swing. Cinder and her allies would participate in the tournament while Adam and HK-47 began laying the groundwork for an invasion. Meanwhile, Adam and the White Fang began preparing for the attack.

Adam: HK. Are the ground forces ready?

HK-47: Answer: Yes, master. The troops are prepared for the attack. Statement: There will be plenty of meatbags to kill.

Adam: What about Blake?

HK-47: Answer: It seems she is unaware of our presence. She will be quite surprised to see us, master.

Adam polish his Wilt Sword while HK-47 inspects his blaster rifle. Suddenly, Cinder had sent out a broadcast to Vale.

Cinder(Broadcast): This is not a tragedy. This was not an accident. This is what happens when you hand over your trust, your safety, your children, to men who claim to be our guardians, but are, in reality, nothing more than men. Our Academies' Headmasters wield more power than most armies, and one was audacious enough to control both. They cling to this power in the name of peace, and yet, what do we have here? One nation's attempt at a synthetic army, mercilessly torn apart by another's star pupil. What need would Atlas have for a soldier disguised as an innocent little girl? I don't think the Grimm can tell the difference. And what, I ask you, is Ozpin teaching his students? First a dismemberment, now this? Huntsmen and Huntresses should carry themselves with honor and mercy, yet I have witnessed neither. Perhaps Ozpin felt as though defeating Atlas in the Tournament would help people forget his colossal failure to protect Vale when the Grimm invaded its streets. Or perhaps this was his message to the tyrannical dictator that has occupied an unsuspecting kingdom with armed forces. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue as to who is right and who is wrong. But I know the existence of peace is fragile, and the leaders of our kingdoms conduct their business with iron gloves. As someone who hails from Mistral, I can assure you the situation there is...equally undesirable. Our Kingdoms are on the brink of war, yet we, the citizens, are left in the dark. So I ask you: When the first shots are fired...who do you think you can trust?

As the broadcast ended, Grimm began attacking all of Vale. In that moment, Adam saw his opportunity.

Adam: The invasion has begun. We move on Beacon immediately.

HK-47: Statement: Yes, master. Weapons activated. Assassination Protocol engaged. This is going to be most fun!

In that moment, Adam and HK-47 led the White Fang began their attack on Vale while avoiding the Grimm that began wrecking havoc on the streets of Vale. As the Battle of Beacon was underway, Adam and HK-47 made their way to Beacon Academy where a reunion would soon occur and a bloodbath would soon follow.
