HK-47: The White Fang's Assassin

Chapter Thirty Eight - Fury

After the destruction of Mantle, all of Remnant is gripped with fear. In a short span of time, both Atlas and Mantle had fallen under the might of the White Fang Empire. What terrified most people was that it was clear that this all out war against humanity would not stop at just two cities. The White Fang Empire intended to conquer all of Remnant. As the threat of the White Fang Empire loomed, Faunus uprisings erupt all across Remnant, further gripping Remnant in fear and chaos. In the city of Argus: one of the last holdouts of the Atlesian Military, Caroline Cordovin prepares her forces for the impending attack. As a response to the various Faunus uprisings occurring all across Remnant, any Faunus suspected of harboring support for the White Fang Empire were rounded up and placed into internment camps. But this furthers fans the flames of dissent. At the Argus Military Base, Cordovin takes control of the fully repair Colossus and assembles all her forces for the imminent battle to come. Cordovin orders all of the city's hard light Dust shields to be deployed. As she sits inside the cockpit, she speaks to her troops through the Colossus's intercom.

Cordovin(Intercom): Soldiers of Argus! As we speak, the White Fang marches on Argus. As the last remnants of the Atlas Military, we are all that stands between order and chaos! We stand against a force that seeks our destruction! It is our duty to fight off these invaders!

As Cordovin addresses the soldiers, rumbling was felt. Cordovin and the crew inside prepared the Colossus's weapons systems as the rest of the Atlesian fleet prepared for battle. Out on the horizon, four massive four legged combat walkers marching on Argus. In that moment, Cordovin gave the order. 

Cordovin(Intercom): All units attack!

As Cordovin gave the order, a squadron of Atlesian bombers flocked to the White Fang walkers. They then began several bombing the walkers, the armor proves too thick for the bombs to penetrate. The bombers were quickly shot down by the automated guns on the walkers. The walkers themselves did not fire as they simply kept advancing. Inside the Colossus, Cordovin takes full control. 

Cordovin: Activate all weapons systems! 

The crew followed Cordovin's orders as the weapons systems of the Colossus came online. The Collosus takes aim with it's Dust Cannon and fires a Dust powered blast at one of the walkers. While the blast initially halts the walker, the walker continues moving forward, undamaged. As the walkers got close, they began firing a volley of blaster fire which destroys a good chunk of the Atlesian fleet. The Colossus takes a good hit, but the Dust light shields were able to withstand the hit. The Colossus then fires another blast of Dust from it's arm cannon at one of the walkers and manages to destroy it. But as the walkers kept firing, Corodvin became suspicious at the fact that the White Fang sent only four walkers to attack Argus. Meanwhile inside the city, the Atlesian troopers deployed to defend the city patrol the city. Suddenly, loud whirring was heard. As the soldiers readied their weapons, no ships could be seen. But as they let their guard down, several White Fang gunships began to decloak. Before anyone could react, White Fang troopers disembarked from the gunships and swarmed the city. Leading the charge was HK-47 and Penny. HK-47 and Penny began slaughtering both soldiers and civilians with satisfaction. Several White Fang legions moved on the interment camps and liberated the Faunus locked in. In response, the Faunus joined the White Fang and joined them in swarming the city. They soon went house to house, killing anyone they came into contact with. Inside their home, Saphron and Terra Cotta-Arc take barricade their home. They then take their son Adrian and attempt to hide from the chaos. But banging was soon heard as HK-47 and Penny break into the house. As the Cotta-Arc family attempts to hide, HK-47 and Penny quickly find them. 

Penny: Greeting: Salutation, meatbags!

Saphron: P...please......

HK-47: Statement: Your pleas of mercy are wasted. Now be a good meatbag and die. 

The two Droids proceed to slaughter the family without mercy or compassion. Meanwhile outside the city, Cordovin commands the Colossus to attack the walkers with the drill arm, unaware of what was happening. As the Colossus manages to pierce one of the walker's command viewport, Cordovin receives a distress signal. 

Cordovin: This is Specialist Cordovin. What is your status?

Atlas Soldier(Holoterminal): The city has been breeched! White Fang troops have entered the city! We're being overwhelmed!

Cordovin: What?! That's impossible! How could....

Before Cordovin could answer, she glances to the window and sees Adam Taurus standing on top of the walker's destroyed command viewport. Before she could react, Adam jumps from the viewport and crashes through the window of the Colossus. Joining Adam was Samanya and the Sword of the Faunus. The Nubuck Guards attempt to aid Cordovin, but are quickly slaughtered by Samanya who uses her Winter Maiden powers to freeze them. She then shatters them to pieces. Cordovin pulls out her pistol and attempts to shoot Adam, but Adam severs Cordovin's hands. 

Adam: You care so deeply for Ironwood's cause? Very well. You shall die like him.

As the crew was slaughtered, they took control of the Colossus and use it's power to destroy what remained of the Atlesian fleet. With the last of the ships destroyed, the White Fang Empire were able to take control of Argus. But a worse fate would fall on Cordovin as Adam prepared to make an example out of her.
