HK-47: The White Fang's Assassin

Chapter Three - Black

As morning fell, Blake was sitting on a rock in the Forever Fall forest when Adam and HK-47 approaches her. 

Adam: It's time.

As Blake turns her head to Adam and HK-47, she appears uneasy. HK-47 was the first to notice this.

HK-47: Observation: Your heart rate has quickened and your breathing appears difficult. 

Adam: Leave her alone, HK. We have a mission to complete. 

Adam begins leading Blake and HK-47 through the forest. Eventually, the trio arrive at a cliff slide. They soon slide down the cliff and jump on board the train. As they enter the interior of one of the train guards, they find themselves surrounded by a large group of activating Atlesian Knight-130s.

Adam: Looks like we're gonna be doing this the hard way.

HK-47: Commentary: These sad excuse for Droids will be no problem. This is going to be fun, Master! 

Blake: Don't be so dramatic. 

Atlesian Knight: Intruder. Identify yourself. 

Adam then uses his Wilt Sword to cut down the Atlesian Knight. Blake soon joins the fight by engaging a group of them with her Gambol Shroud while HK-47 shoots them down with his Blaster Rifle. As they move to the top of the train, another group of Atlesian Knights approach them. 

HK-47: Observation: These androids have hostile intentions. This is going to be most fun!

HK-47 continues firing on the Atlesian Knights while Adam and Blake cut them to pieces with their swords. After the fight, they reach the cargo hold of the train. Adam searches the contents of the crate and smiles. 

Adam: Perfect. Move up to the next car. I'll set the charges. 

Blake: What about the crew members?

Adam: What about them?

As Adam says that, HK-47 detects something approaching them with his scanners. 

HK-47: Advisory: Something very large is approaching us. 

As HK-47 says that, a Spider Droid climbs down from the ceiling. While Adam and Blake ready their weapons, HK-47 takes a moment to gaze upon the droid. 

HK-47: Commentary: Such an exquisite droid! I didn't think your meatbag scientists were capable of such a design!

Adam and Blake attack the Spider Droid with their swords while HK-47 fires on it. The attacks do little damage as the three back away. 

Blake: We need to get out of here!

HK-47 then runs a diagnostic on the Spider Droid to find a weakness to exploit. The trio were then blasted through a door onto a flatbed car by an energy attack. As the three recover, HK-47 reviews his diagnostics. 

HK-47: Advisory: The energy discharge from the droid's cannons should help even the odds against this Droid. Your Semblance is perfect to counter this droid, master.

Adam: Buy me some time!

Blake: Are you sure?

Adam: Do it!

Blake attacks the Spider Droid while HK-47 fires on it with his Blaster Rifle. The two then quickly retreat as the Spider Droid fires another large energy blast at Adam, but he absorbs it with his sword. Adam laughs menacingly as he activates his Moonslice Semblance and uses the energy absorbed from his sword to destroy the droid. 

HK-47: Statement: Impressive display, Master! You show extraordinary skill and ruthlessness! 

Adam and HK-47 then turn to see Blake on the next car. Confused, Adam reaches out to her. Blake wore a sad face as she unsheathed Gambol Shroud. 

Blake: Goodbye.

Blake then cuts the line connecting the two train cars. As the train car carrying Blake rides away, Blake turns her back away from Adam. HK-47 then aims his Blaster Rifle and readies to fire on her. As Blake is in the scope of HK-47's Blaster Rifle, Adam stops him.

Adam: Hold your fire.

HK-47: Query: You're letting her go, Master?

Adam said nothing as he saw Blake disappear with the train. The car carrying him and HK-47 grind to a halt. Adam made no attempt to going after her. HK-47 was confused by this. Normally when a member of the White Fang did what Blake did, Adam would have HK-47 discretely execute them. Yet Adam gave no such order for him this time. 

Adam: Help me gather the Dust shipment. The White Fang will make good use of this. 

HK-47: Query: What about the meatbag called Blake Belladonna? 

Adam: Search for her, HK. I want you to track her down and find out where she is and where she's going. 

HK-47: Query: When I find her, what next? How should I terminate this one?

Adam: You will do no such thing, HK. This is a reconnaissance mission. Track her down and see where she goes. Report any findings you have to me. 

HK-47: Statement: Understood, Master. I'll find her, Master. Wherever she'll go, she won't hide.

Adam: There will be....targets for you. Based on where the train is going, it's possible Blake will be heading to Vale. There are targets for you in Vale. 

Adam then hands HK-47 two photos. One is the photo of what appeared to be a male Schnee Company representative and the other being an Atlesian Military Officer.

Adam: Your first target is Jonathan Kane, a member of the Schnee Dust Company Board of Directors. The other is Lieutenant Amadeus Serrano. Execute them as enemies of the White Fang and the Faunus. 

HK-47: Commentary: Those meatbags will be terminated with extreme prejudice. As for Blake, I will find her. She will not hide from me, Master. 

With his mission given, HK-47 departed the train for Vale to assassinate his targets as well as search for Blake Belladonna. In the meantime, Adam would take the Dust shipment back to the White Fang's camp and regroup.
