Chapter 7:School Ambush

Alex POV

I yawned as our teacher, Mrs Bustier, droned on about history. I barely got any sleep last night. My injuries from my patrol still hurt like hell. Marinette and Adrien, including my godfather, had to help me change my bandages. At least I'm able to go to school and work. Though my boss decreased my hours due to my injuries. And my patrol hours have also decrease thanks to uncle Joseph. 

"Ugh.  Quelle douleur dans le cul." I muttered under my breath. 

I looked at the clock behind me. 3 seconds until lunch. 2. 1.

The bell rang and we all left the classroom to go to the cafeteria. 

"Are your injuries still hurting you?" Nino asked me.

"Yeah. They do." I answered bitterly whilst eating an apple.

Nino and I became well aquatinted when Adrien introduced him to me before Vex's attack. He also knew about me being The Vigilante when his girlfriend, Alya told him. So far, he hasn't told anyone.

"Adrien told me about Master Fu. God bless his soul." Nino said sadly.

"It's already bad enough that Chloe and her cronies have the Turtle Miraculous and the Fox Miraculous." I sighed as I twirled one of my knuckle dusters on my index finger.

Nino nodded.

"Hey, have you see Juleka?" He asked.

"I can't say I have. I think she's absent or something." I replied. 

Then, I heard a scream from outside. Nino and I exchanged looks and followed the crowd.

"Ladybug! Chat Noir! Lupin! Come out and surrender your miraculous or I will drop this girl!" A man in a green and black jumpsuit and black boots shouted whilst holding Alya. The latter is begging him to not drop.

"ALYA!" Nino exclaimed.

I quickly ran to the boys changing room and changed into my vigilante outfit. I know I was suppose to take a break from vigilantism due to my injuries but it's too late for that. I pulled on my trench coat and tucked my grapple gun in my belt. 

After I changed, I ran into Marinette and Adrien. 

"Aren't you suppose to be resting?" Adrien asked me.

"No time. Let's move." I replied as I jumped out off the window and fired my grapple gun to the roof. The duo followed me and landed on the roof.

"Put her down!" Chat Noir demanded as he extended his bō. Ladybug twirled her yoyo. I put on my knuckle dusters and bumped them together.

"Give me your miraculous. Then we'll see." The man in the green and black jumpsuit replied.

We exchanged looks.  

"Even if we do, you would kill the girl. First you put her down on the roof. Then we'll give you our miraculous." I said.

"I have a better idea." The man said as he tossed Alya off the roof. 

Ladybug jumped off the roof and caught Alya as she used her yoyo to slow down her fall. Chat Noir swung his bō at the man but his attack was blocked by a green shield.

"What the-!? That's Carapace's shield!" He exclaimed.

"It is. But with a bonus." He replied and summoned spikes on the edge of the shield.

"Well merde." We both sighed and raced forward to fight him.

I threw a punch at the man but was blocked and kicked in the stomach. I stepped back, clutching my injured stomach only to get kicked in the face and sent flying of the roof. I flipped in mid-air and fired my grapple gun at the drainpipe to slow down my fall and landed on my feet. I saw Chat Noir landed flat on his rear. He got up cursing as the man in green jumped down and landed without any difficulty.

"Who are you?" Ladybug demanded.

"I am Buzzsaw. The turtle themed criminal and Carapace's replacement." The man replied. "Shadow Spade has given me orders to bring you in dead or alive. That includes Alya and Nino."

The couple hugged each other in fear.

"The only thing you'll be getting is this beatdown, Buzzsaw." I replied and rushed forward. The Cat and Bug duo followed me.

I threw a punch at Buzzsaw. He dodged and kicked me in the back. I stumbled and rushed forward. Chat Noir launched himself into the air and swung his staff at his head. He blocked and slashed his stomach. Chat dodged but was grazed. Ladybug unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks. Buzzsaw dodged all of them and slapped Ladybug across the face, knocking her out cold.

"NO ONE HITS MILADY!" Chat roared as he threw a punch at him. Buzzsaw dodged and kicked him in the face . He fell to the ground. I unleashed a flurry of punches. He grabbed my arm and threw me into a tree. I screamed as I felt my ribs crack. Ladybug got up and helped me up.

"My ribs are cracked. And I think my wound has reopened." I said weakly.

"Can you still fight?" She replied. I nodded as I wiped the blood for my lips.

Chat Noir was still fighting Buzzsaw. He tried to swing his staff at him but it was knocked out of his hands.

"No choice. CATACLYSM!" He shouted as his right hand was engulfed with a black aura. 

He threw a punch at him. 

"SHELL ON!" Buzzsaw shouted as a green force field surrounded him, blocking his attack.

"Wha-?" Chat stuttered in disbelief. 

"Shell off." He said with a smirk as he kicked Chat in the face. He landed on his back, unconscious.

"KITTY!" Ladybug shouted as she rushed to Chat's unconscious body. Buzzsaw advanced forward.

I rushed in and launched a drop kick. He caught my leg and threw me towards the crowd. I rolled onto the ground. A few students helped me up to my feet.

Ladybug threw her yoyo at Buzzsaw's shield arm. Buzzsaw pulled her towards her and stabbed her in the gut with the spike of his shield. 

"LADYBUG!" I shouted as I rushed towards her. 

I snapped a 540 kick at his neck. Buzzsaw dodged and slashed at my leg. I yelped and got an uppercut in the jaw. I flipped back to my feet and spat out blood. A van appeared.

"I'll be taking these two with me. Thank your God you're still alive. At least for now." Buzzsaw said as he hoisted the Cat and Bug duo on his shoulders and walked to the van. 

"Try to follow us, you're dead." Buzzsaw added as he dumped my teammates in the back of the van and hopped in.

The van left the school. I ran after it. I took a motorcycle from the car park and rode on it. I activated my ear piece and called Uncle Joseph.

"Uncle! Call the cops! I'm chasing after a black van with a grey licence plate and no numbers. They have Marinette and Adrien. We're just about to pass The Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie !" I shouted as I made a hard left.

"Alright! The cops are on their way! Try to slow the down until they get there." Joseph replied. I heard gun shots in the background.

"Uncle?" I asked.

"Don't worry about me! Just focus on helping your friends!" Joseph shouted.

"Alright!" I replied as I increased the speed of the cycle.

Mari. Adrien. Just hang on for a while longer.
