Chapter 24: Silver Bullet vs Crimson Huntress

Rodrigo POV

"I can't get through to Kagami or to Uncle Joseph." Alex said.

"You don't think that they've been-" Nino began.

"No. Kagami is a tough girl. She'll pull through. As for my uncle, he's an ex cop. I'm sure they'll be back." Alex replied.

"I'm more worried about Alya." Nino said.

"No need. She's actually on her way." I said.

Alya ran into Nino's arms, sobbing.

"Alya. What's wrong?" He asked.

"Mari. She's one of them." She answered, holding tightly to Nino.

"What about Queen Wasp?" Luka asked.

"I got her miraculous." She said as she released Nino and pulled out the Bee Hairclip from her pocket.

"Now, all we need to do is find the other miraculous holders, retrieve them and stop Shadow Spade." Tina said.

"A plan that would fail." A voice above us answered. A woman dressed in red jumped from the roof.

"Crimson Huntress." Alex growled.

"Hand over the miraculous and I'll make this quick an painless." She said as she pulled out her whip.

"Go ahead. I'll stall her." I said as I pulled out my twin Glocks.

They nodded and left.

"You'll have to go through me to get to them." I said as I fired my guns.  Crimson Huntress parried the bullets and lashed her whip at me. I side flipped out of the way and fired my guns again, whilst running around her in circles.

"You can't keep this up forever." She said parrying my bullets with ease. I fired my pistols again only to find out they are empty.

"Mierda!" I cursed and reloaded my guns. Crimson Huntress lashed out her whip and knocked my twin Glocks out of my hand and into the river.

"My turn." She said with a smile and whipped my leg. I clutched my leg and rolled out of the way to dodge another whip strike. I threw my knife at her. She knocked it aside with the hilt of her whip and struck my mask, denting it.

"You won't get pass me." I said as I rushed forward and snapped a kick at her neck. She dodged and struck my nape, stunning me.

"I think I already have." She said as she wrapped her whip around my neck, choking me. "But first, I'll get rid of you." 

I could feel the muscles in my neck about to burst. I quickly got up to my feet and headbutted her in the face, breaking her nose. She exclaimed and dropped her whip. I quickly picked up my knife and threw it at her. My knife struck her abdomen. I fired my grappling hook around her neck and choked her. With one final pull, her neck snapped. She crumbled to the ground, lifeless.

"Guess you failed, dama carmesi (Crimson Lady)." I said as I pulled my knife from her abdomen and left to re-join my friends.
