Chapter 2

Ben had being staying in Rahims the past week and a half because His mom and the builder Jakob are together and Ben isn't the biggest Fan of Ola even though she is Otis girlfriend.

It's just weird in the house. His mom is dating Ola's dad and Ola is dating Otis. What happens if his mom and Jakob were to stay together and get married and Otis and Ola are still dating like how weird and awful would that really be.

"Wait, so you like Eric?" Ben asked as him and Rahim walked to school, his house wasn't far from it so it wouldn't hurt to do so.

"Yeah, he just seems like a real cool guy and he is incredibly attractive" Ben nodded "yeah, he is cool. You two would be perfect together actually"

They finally reached the school, Ben was going on about about how he doesn't like Ola and although he is happy for his mum he just thinks it won't work out because Ola being the main reason.

"-I'm just not able to deal with her-" Ben noticed Rahim just standing there looking at something. Or someone.

Ben followed Rahims gaze landing on Eric "Rahim, you can't just stare at people like that. Looks like your plotting their murder" Rahim took his eyes off Eric "Sorry, he is just really cool you know?" Ben nodded giving Rahim a pat on the back "it's okay, i know how you feel. Can't take your eyes off them because they are so special and Beautiful-" Rahim looked at Ben "does Ruby know that?" He asked.

"What? Oh no, and I don't plan on telling her anytime so...let's just get going"

Ben couldn't do this, his mum was on stage making a big fool of herself while everyone called her courgette wanker.

Ben and Otis were both red in the face, embarrassed, humiliated.

Everyone just kept laughing.

Ben shot up out if his seat leaving the hall. He put his hands into his pocket searching for his inhaler but couldn't find it.

He couldn't breathe.

He seen someone hand him an inhaler but he couldn't see who, he didn't really care either.

He took the air from the inhaler twice before putting his back up against the wall "thanks" he finally looked up to see who handed him the inhaler and he swore he was dreaming.

"I'm dreaming, your not in front of me. And if this isn't a dream then just get the slap over and one with" Ruby chuckled "I'm not going to slap you now, but it is coming".

"Why are you here then?"

"I heard something drop, i looked to find out what it was and seen your inhaler and then also seen you rushing out of the hall. Nobody else moved to get it for you so I did".

Ben shook his head "you hate me, why would you help me" Ruby sighed "obviously i hate you but i guess i didn't want you to die or something" Ben met Ruby's eyes.

It was silent for a mome while the two stared into eachothers eyes before Ruby cleared her throat.

"I mean, who am I going to get pissed off at everyday and threaten to kill if your dead?" Ruby had tore her eyes away from Bens, who has dropped his head.

"Yeah...thanks again" Ben said before standing up "you can go now, you know?" He said to Ruby in a soft calm voice. "I was just about to leave, Milburn. Im getting this urge to slap you from this weird vibe your giving me, and your flannels are really hurting my eyes" and with that Ruby walked away.
