Chapter 22

Ben woke up to the sound of Joy crying down stairs. He groaned as he rolled over and stuffed his face into his pillow. Today was the first day at the new school and there was something he knew he wasn't going to be ready for.

He wondered how Ruby was going to be able to cope with Anwar and Olivia being away and never been able to have the time for her. He could tell she was upset and felt lonely but that's where he would step in and be there for her.

Ben pushed the blankets off him, going straight to the bathroom to hop in the shower and brush his teeth.

After spending 20 minutes in the shower he got out wrapping a towel around his waste and going to brush his teeth before getting dressed. Ben decided to just go with a black tracksuit not really feeling like putting in the effort.

Grabbing his bag and heading down stairs he seen Jean with his baby sister in her arms trying to get her to be quiet "here, let me take her for you mum" Ben stretched his arms out to take his sister into his arms as he gently shushed her.

"Where's Otis?" The boy asked "oh, he had to go early. Shouldn't you be going too? Wouldn't want you to miss your first day of school" Ben looked at his mother worriedly as she look stressed and really tired.

"I mean, yeah but I can stay home you looked really stressed and tired out mum" Jean waved her hand shaking her head "nonsense darling-" there was a car horn outside interrupting the woman.

"So the she devil herself is here. Are you sure you don't want me to stay home I really can if you need help" Jean shook her head as to say no. "You go darling, have a good day".

Ben hesitated before finally giving in and placing Joy back in her cot "try get some rest mum" he said before leaving his house to where he seen Ruby waiting for him.

"Sorry, mum is still stressing with Joy. Doesn't look like she's slept in weeks" Ruby noticed the worried look in her boyfriends face and took his hand into hers.

"She's going to be okay. She's got you around to help her. You can stay home today if you want" Ben sighed shaking his head "mum refuses to let me stay home" Ruby frowned at the sight of Bens worried look on his face.

She leaned across tilting the boys head to look at her and kissed him long but softly. "She's going to be okay" Ruby muttered between kisses as it seemed to get heated "you think they have somewhere there we could spend alone" Ruby chuckled before pulling away making the boy frown.

"No fair. You can't just get me all excited like that and not go along with it" Ruby let out a laugh "you love me being such a tease though" she kissed him again this time dragging his bottom lip out with her teeth making the boy moan.

"God. You know sex while pregnant is very healthy for the baby" Ruby looked at the boy with list filled eyes whilst their faces were just inches a part.

"Is it now?" Ben hummed "yeah, really healthy. I think we should test the theory" Ruby looked down at the boys lips "right here. Right now" he whispered inching his face closer to the girls.

"You'll ruin how hot I look right now" Ben looked down at Ruby's outfit and slowly looked back up to her lips then meeting her eyes "it'll be worth it. Besides you'll look hotter" Ruby felt herself breaking a sweat as she looked into her boyfriends eyes.

"Well it sucks for you then cause we are NOT missing out on school just for sex" Ben let out a whine when Ruby leaned back and started back up the car "why do you keep teasing my needs?" He whined making Ruby laugh at his childish behaviour.
