"So have you talked to her yet?" Sean asked as him and Ben walked into the building. Bens silence told Sean everything "mate, you told me you were going to talk to her!".
"Correction I told you I'd talk to her in the right time. Now, isn't the right time".
"Oh, please you're going to say that every time and then eventually everything here will end and you missed the chance. We're the new and improved untouchables, we should be together as a group but that can't happen because you and Ruby broke up" Ben groaned.
"Why does it have to be me to text it first?" Ben questioned "uh, maybe because it was you that broke up with her. The ball is literally in your court" Ben sighed knowing Sean was right in everything he was saying.
It was just then when Ben seen Ruby and Otis talking to each other. Ben frowned at the sight, he couldn't do it. He couldn't talk to her. Majority of him believed that Ruby wouldn't do anything to deliberately hurt him but that small side said a lot of different things. Things that scared the shit out of him and went more to his head than the good things.
"I don't want to guilt trip you, but she's carrying your child. I get you'll still support it and everything but she needs you there with her. Not on the other side of the net" Ben looked at Sean "can you please stop with the whole tennis thing. I still need time to think about everything. A lot has happened and changed. God, just let me do it in my own damn freaking time" Ben snapped before he seen the look on Sean's face.
"Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap I just...I miss her so much but the fact I seen her and Otis in the same bed and they dated. You don't understand how much that can affect you" Sean put his hand on Bens shoulder "no, I'm sorry for pushing you when you're not ready. Of course, I'm trying to be there for Ruby too but pushing you isn't fair either...but can I ask at least one little thing from you?".
Ben was silent as he waited for Sean to continue. "Can we all sit together for the debate? Please, I really don't want to be choosing sides and it could be good" Ben sighed but it wouldn't be fair in Sean to choose between him and Ruby and feel pressured to make a decision.
"Yeah, we can all sit together for the debate".

"Hey, Rubes" Sean greeted as he took a seat on the outside. Leaving a seat empty between him and Ruby. Ben glared at Sean by the boy looked away. Ben took a breath before he sat down beside the girl. The tension still thick between them.
As much as Ben disliked his own brother, he wanted him to win this debate. Sure, he dated Ruby, was found sleeping in her bed cuddling but he's still his brother and would rather that than a girl who bullied his girlfriend—ex girlfriend.
Music started playing "all right, Cavendish. What's up? It's O here".
"You've got to be fucking kidding me" Ben cursed.
"Now, listen up it's not long til you gotta decide. You need a counsellor it's election time. There's no shame, there's no blame, theres no games. All you gotta do is tick a box beside my name. I'll offer you free advice, discreet advice. Diggin' deep in your mind and helpin' you work out. Why is your ex still controlling your life? And why is your sex life still somewhat dry?".
"I prefer Eminem and Cardi" Ben grumbled.
"All right can we keep this snappy please? I've got gardening book club to get to, so, uh, opening statements?".
"Thanks Principle Lak—".
"Hi, everyone. I'm O. Vote for me, and I promise that I will continue doin' what I have already been doin', serving you all with openness and integrity. Thank you" O interrupted Otis. "Fuck this. This is complete bullshit. I can smell the shit talk from her mouth from here" Ruby chuckled at Bens words which made Ben smile as he looked at her. Forgetting just for a moment that they weren't broke up.
