Ben was sleeping soundly until he felt his face being peppered with kisses. His eyes were still closed as he smiled knowing who it was already. Ben opened his eyes and spotted his girlfriend beside him with her small dog in her arms.

"Good morning, baby" Ben rasped making Ruby smile wide "good mor—" Ben shook his head "I was talking to your dog" Ruby's mouth fell open at the serious look on her boyfriends face. She didn't know what to say to that. "That's baby and you're my future wife" Ben said as he leaned up and pecked the girls lips. When he pulled back he noticed the silly smile on the girls lips.

"You're such an idiot" Ruby said pushing him back down. Ben laughed "I'm really not wrong though, am I?" Ruby shook her head with a smile as she leaned down to kiss her boyfriend. "We've still got some years ahead of us before you can say that" Ben sat up on the bed.

"Well, I don't know about you, but, I know what I want and who I want to spend my life with" Ben said as he placed a hand in the girls stomach and Ruby knew what he was referring to.

"I love you".

"I love you more"

"That's impossible" Ruby rolled her eyes with a smile. "Come on, Otis will be here soon" Ben groaned. Otis had agreed to Ruby being his campaign manager and whilst Ben trusted Ruby and was happy she was getting involved in something she enjoyed—he didn't trust Otis. He knew it sounded bad to not trust his own brother around his girlfriend but the past speaks for itself.

"Ugh!".

"I know, I know. But it's just for the campaign. Nothing else" Ben sighed. "I know...I want to support you but I don't think I'm ready to face him. Not here in the same room as you" a frown appeared on Ruby's face. "Hey, I trust you, okay? Hence why I'm going to go to Sean's for a bit and I'll be back later. I'm pretty sure I'd punch Otis in the face if we spend more than 5 minutes in the same room together" Ruby chuckled.

"I'll be back later, okay?" Ruby nodded. "Good luck with trying to get Otis to win. I love you" Ben leaned his forehead against Ruby's as she she smiled. "I love you more" Ben shook his head with a smile.

"Impossible".

"Are you really okay with Otis being at Ruby's? I mean, after everything that happened?" Ben shrugged. "I mean, I'm not happy about Otis being there but I trust Ruby. If he even tried to make a move she would turn him away in a flash" Sean hummed in agreement.

"Ruby needs to see how much I trust her. And if I'm around her all the time when she's with an ex then it won't work. I don't want her to feel trapped or on edge. She's her own person" Ben shrugged. "You really love her, don't you?" Ben nodded with a silly smile.

"I can't imagine my life without her" Sean smiled at his best friend. "Hey! I heard there was a party tonight..." Ben furrowed his brows. "That LGBTQ party?" Sean nodded. "Why would you want to go to that? Everyone would judge two straight people walking into one of those parties" Ben laughed.

"Well, you see...I...you know what? Never mind it was stupid of me to suggest" Ben looked at the boy confused. Why would he suggest going to that kind of party and the changing his mind in a split second when he asked for reason.

That's when it clicked.

"You're gay..." Sean was silent. He was expecting for Ben to throw his hands around and make fun of him like many people did about gay people but he was surprised when he didn't. "We should go then. If that's what you want to do then we should go" Sean met Bens eyes that had that same sincere and soft look in them.
