Third Person's POVAs Hyejin finished sorting up her thoughts, an idea popped in her mind while she was thinking of how she would welcome him with the news.
She could still not believe that she was pregnant. Obviously, everything was unplanned. They were both talking about future but none of them thought it would be coming to them that fast. They were still young, they could still do a lot of things together.
But it was already there, might as well accept it since their soon to be child were made while they made love. It would've been a different case if they were just fucking around and weren't serious but, they were.
Hyejin would be lying if she denied that she was okay. Clearly, no. A pressuring weight lingered inside her. Mixed emotions getting her anxious as she began to overthink again. She knew Jaehyun would not react the way she feared to but...what if?
What if he said he was not ready yet and he did not want the baby?
Would that make him happy?
Biting her lower lip, Hyejin brushed off the thoughts and focused on what she was doing.
Surprise him with a dinner date.
She looked down on the busy table in front of her. The ingredients of what she would be preparing were scattered on it got her thinking what she should do first. There was enough time given before Jaehyun arrives.
"Alright we should do the main dish first." Determined she was, her sleeves were pulled up to her elbows and her hair was tied up in a messy yet tight bun. Not just a simple dinner, she planned it to be a bit fancy dinner date at home.
As she finished mixing the honey and sesame oil in the the bowl, she patted the lambs dry and marinated them in thoroughly.
Sure it was, Jaehyun would be home feeling tired from all the busy works so she planned a little present with a goal to lessen his exhaustion.
Hyejin knew him so well, he tends to eat less and sometimes even forget about it when he's packed with schedules and the fact that she was not around during those days to check up on him was beating her down to the bush.
"Alright. Time for grilling." A small laugh of embarrassment left her mouth realizing she was talking to herself again. She didn't know when it started maybe when she began to feel lonely but later on, she learned that it was fun. It calmed her down a bit.
She put the lambs into grilling pan with the right heat, sprinkled them with salt and pepper before turning herself back to the table to prepare the mint sauce needed for the said meal.
"The silence is too loud." Just as then, she found herself jamming alone in the playlist that Jaehyun had made in her phone.
It took her almost one and a half our to finish everything. From the main dish, the side dish, to the small portion of dessert. They were all placed neatly on the clothed table with a piece of red wine nearside waiting to be attended.
A proud and wide smile spread on her lips. Everything was half cooked so it wouldn't be over done when she heats them once again for later.
Hyejin left the dining area and moved up to change her clothes into semi-formal yet simplistic peach-colored dress. She brushed her hair down, sprayed her own perfume and grazed her lips gently against her lip balm.
As she finished making herself look decent, she slid her feet into neutral-coloted flats and carefully walk down the stairs. Her heart was skipping a beat or two, still astonished by the fact that there was a life forming inside her.
