Aizawa had, unfortunately, vetoed the idea of starting off your new training journey with relearning the periodic table of elements.

He'd reassured you that, while it was necessary, it wouldn't make a good starting point, so you'd reluctantly put that idea on the back burner of your mind. Your guardian promised that it was something that would be addressed down the line when you'd provided him with a dejected look, that for now, it would be more simple to list out what it was you knew how to do and what you were usually told to avoid.

'It would be a good place to begin,' Aizawa had supplied over dinner that same night, and so, for the past two days off school that the whole of U.A. had received due to the festival, you'd taken to holing yourself up in your room with one of your notebooks and pen in hand. If listing things down was a good start, then you had deemed it important enough to do only that for the majority of your small break, eager to start on something brand new.

You'd jotted some things down; moves you could do, fighting styles you were taught, what you usually favored to do in a fight or in a covert setting, but... that had been it. By the time you'd gotten everything down, the page was barely breaching the halfway point, and you had run out of information to provide.

Sitting in silence hadn't been an option. You wouldn't let the empty space get you down- you couldn't. Moving forward was the only way to get the answers that you needed to resolve your current plight, and you'd had enough wallowing to last a lifetime.

A half vacant page wouldn't make you lie over submissively, you'd decided, and though it wasn't as fast as it had been at first, you'd gotten a good two pages full of ideas and questions down by Thursday, carrying the notebook with you back to class apprehensively.

You hadn't had the opportunity to run anything by Aizawa, not yet, but you were hoping to have that chance after class. If you managed to leave your notebook behind with him, he could look over everything you had and then offer counters, if needed. Productivity seemed to be running through your veins for the past forty-eight hours, and you were hoping it wouldn't let up any time soon.

Shimmying through the morning crowds of people was simple; just a quick step between workers and students alike, with a small 'Excuse me,' thrown in for good measure. Nodding at small greetings was reflex, holding the door open for others came naturally, and occupying your designated space in the class didn't feel like a chore. For the first time, everything seemed to be under firm control, with only you in the pilot seat as you navigated through uncharted waters.

'This is all so very exciting...'

You'd made it to class with seconds to spare, just as everyone began to settle down into their seats. Soft giggles could be heard as everyone relayed their walk to school, though, it got immediately quiet as soon as the bell rung and the door to the room slid open. Aizawa shuffled in tiredly, mumbling a soft, 'Morning,' heading straight towards his podium as he did, not sparing anyone a glance.

That didn't deter any of the curious looks he was thrown, with Asui gleefully exclaiming, "Good to see your bandages are off, Aizawa Sensei!"

Aizawa rolled his eyes tiredly, but not unkindly, no doubt exhausted at the constant mention of his speedy recovery. "The old lady's treatment was excessive. But, never mind that. Today, we've got Hero Informatics class, and a special one at that."

Almost the entire class groaned quietly, no doubt assuming a test was bound to take place. You didn't mind them much; Pro Hero history and laws interested you enough to enjoy the surprise quizzes Aizawa would sometimes hand out, but you had quietly been hoping for something more hands on. Still, it was slightly funny watching as the others slumped over, their earlier morning elation vanishing within minutes.
