Lakeview Manor is my home, and soon, Lydia will bring the Dragonborn here to be kept safe until we figure out what to do with her. I just hope the Dragonborn doesn't mind my being a High Elf.
I am sitting at the long table in the dining room, and eating some salmon steak. I hear the door open and look up, seeing my friend, Sinbul, the Khajiit merchant/thief who is known to be very open and nice to certain people, but not all those he meets. Sinbul walks into the room, and his tall frame has to duck to get through the door, much like I do, as a High Elf is the tallest race in Skyrim.
"Are you good, Rel?" he asks me.
I nod. "You?"
He sits down across from me, his black fur and dark hair dripping with rainwater. He takes off his boots and looks around, then picks up a fork and stabs some of the salmon steak on the platter to my left. He puts it on a plate in front of him and starts to eat.
"Not so much," he says. "Not being allowed into cities is really pissing me off. You know, I don't get it."
"I don't either, if I'm being honest. If I could change it tomorrow, I definitely would."
"Would you, Rel? I mean, would you really do that for me?"
"Well, yes. But not just for you, but for all the Khajiit and Argonians."
He nods. "Of course." He tears into his food, and as we sit in silence, I finish my food and stand up, heading for the alchemy lab. But I get halfway there when the front door of the house opens and in comes Lydia and the Dragonborn. I turn to look at them, the Nord women walk into the room together, both of them are cloaked and drippimg with rain.
"Hello," I say to them. "Nice to meet you, Dragonborn. I am Relfire Salingahl."
"I'm Sinbul."
"Nice to meet you two, I'm Ularik," says the Dragonborn.
Lydia brushes by her. "Come on, I'll show you to your room."
They walk past us and head up to their room, and I look at Sinbul. He shrugs and says, "Long ride."
I nod and resume heading to the alchemy lab. I don't know what is going on with them, but I guess it can wait until tomorrow morning to talk about.
