I run through the streets of Whiterun, and Farkas is right behind me, ready to fight against the Silver Hand members that are invading Whiterun. Farkas grabs my arm and pulls me back, just as an arrow strikes the ground before us, where I just stood.
Then, the gates to the city burst open, and in comes a tidal wave of Silver Hand, rampaging through the streets. My heart sinks.
"Where did all these people come from?" I ask Farkas.
There's simply too many of them to fight back against — but we still have to, we cannot just let the citizens of Whiterun get hurt. And there aren't many of us Companions anymore. I look at Farkas, but he's not there. He's fighting some Silver Hand warriors, and as I try to move towards him to help, there's a flash of light.
And then, everything around me goes black.
**********
When I come to, my vision flickers and then it goes back to normal. I look around me. The room is big, shaped like an oval, and the smell of blood, fear, steel, and sweat fills the air in the room. I look around the room and see a door. I stand up on wobbling legs and then I hear the clink of metal against skin and stone. I look down and realize I am chained by the ankle to the wall.
I pull against it, but it is on there tight when I move. I struggle against it, but there is no sign of it giving up. I sit down hard and shake my head.
How did the Silver Hand capture me? And how am I still alive? Why am I still alive? This cannot be good. I put my head back and sigh. I look around and try to figure out what is going on and where exactly I am. Is this some part of Gallows Rock? Or somewhere else?
I lay down on my side and stare at the door, wondering what happened to Farkas and the rest of my friends. I hope that they're okay. I hope that the Nine Divines are looking out for them. I hope Kodlak is watching over them. Not me, though. I am a disgrace of a Companion's Harbinger. To be captured like this ....
A tear rolls down my face. I burst into tears then and sob loudly. I hate myself for this. I hate the Silver Hand and what they've done. But I am not sure which one I hate more — me, or them.
