By the end of the night, I have both of my female twins in my arms. Farkas and I are still trying to name them. They both were moonborn, as in, werewolves. Just like Farkas and his brother, they were blessed by Hircine.
Farkas holds the younger twin in his arms, and I am patiently feeding the older one a bottle of milk with some other things in it Danica said babies need. We are discussing different baby names.
We never had time before now to do this, but as I sit here, feeding my eldest daughter, a smile comes across my face. Vilkas and Aela return with looks of happiness on their faces.
"Esmeray sounds like a beautiful moon name," Aela says.
"And Mingan or Otsana would be a wolf name," Vilkas suggests.
"We had Tilma look up some names meaning "wolf" and "moon" and those were our favorites," Aela says.
"They could share a middle name," Farkas suggests.
I nod. "How about Mingan and Otsana Esmeray Meridwulf?"
"Sounds good to me, if you like it," Farkas says.
"You two are too damn cute."
We turn around as Liethel Duskraven, Safilrah M'ith-Si, and
Vorstag come in.
I smile and adjust my daughter in my arms. I look down at her, seeing her tuft of dark auburn hair on her head, and when she opens her eyes, they are so blue they could hold oceans.
"Otsana will be your name, sweetie," I say.
She makes a soft noise and nuzzles me.
Farkas steps closer to me, handing Mingan over. Otsana makes a soft noise as she falls asleep, and I feel my heart melt a little. Mingan drinks her liquids and then promptly passes out in my arms.
There's a tapping noise on the door to my right, so I hand Mingan to Aela and approach the door. I open it, and see Fralia Grey-Mane. But she is beaten and bruised.
"By the Nine, come in, Fralia. What happened? Who did this to you?"
I sit her down at the table and she weeps. "It was the Battle-Borns. They took Avulstien, my son. No one knew he was there, but they suspected. So they sent the Dark Brotherhood after me. If Eorlund didn't have weapons all around the house, I'd be dead. Please, Red, find my son."
"I promise I will do this myself, and I will do my very best to make this stop in the process."
"I don't know what would do this. They've become bolder since Ulfric's death. They seem to think we are foolish to still support a rebellion that we know is still alive and is trying to flourish."
"What would help the rebellion most right now?" I ask.
"If we also found Ulfric's daughter, Ularik Stormcloak. She is the Dragonborn, but everyone believes she's dead."
"We will do our best to find her and your son, Fralia. But one more question, how do you know who hired the Brotherhood to hurt you?"
"I stabbed the would-be assassin. When he bent over, a note from Olfrid fell from his pocket. That man has always been wretched to me since this feud began."
"Alright. Can I see this note?"
She hands it to me. I look at her. "Vilkas will take you to the Skyforge. Eorlund needs to know about this, so Vilkas here will be an escort and body guard."
"No one will get past me," he says.
I smile. "And if you need a Shield-Sibling, just let me know."
Vilkas nods. "Very well. Ready when you are, Fralia."
Whe hugs me. Then she and Vilkas head for the Skyforge.
