It was 4:30AM. The sky was still dark
Tere were no cars being driven around. No people outside, no pets making sound. The world was yet to wake up.
Alexander Kang slowly slipped out of his bed, and stood up.
He stared at the ceiling blankly for a moment, before sighing.
...
Alex breathed in and out in an even pace.
Wearing the heaviest tracksuit he had, he jogged- although it looked like a sprint- all around Kuoh.
Besides his breathing, and the sound of his feet hitting the ground, it was silent.
For a moment, the noise that constantly surrounded him was gone.
During his time on his run, he felt at peace.
The sun began to come up nearing the end of his run, a symbol of the city's awakening.
It was dozens of kilometers, and yet he was back in under an hour.
...
Sweat poured down his face as Alex stared at the ground.
He was holding himself up with the tip of his fingers. He kept the weighted clothes, and attempted to balance heavy medicine balls on his feet all the while.
His breath become ever so slightly heavier.
...
Almost deafening sounds erupted as Alex's foot collided with the sandbag.
It swung back slightly, before Alex whirled around and kicked it again. This time, it flung back and up, almost crashing into the ceiling.
He remembered how something similar had happened when he first brought Issei down here.
Only that time, he had...
Alex looked at his hands.
Those bloody, barbaric hands! Get them away from me!
Don't touch me with those vile things!
"I..."
I want to stop feeling this way.
...
Alex yawned as the bell rang. Coincidentally, so did Issei.
His two friends Matsuda and Motohama walked over to his desk. "You look like shit, Issei." Matsuda said.
"Shut up. I had a freaky dream that kept me up most of the night." Issei replied.
"Is that what it was? It was difficult getting you out of bed this morning." Asia said, also at his desk.
Her words caused the two other boys to gasp. "Woah woah woah, you got Asia walking you up in the morning!?"
Issei smiled somewhat smugly. "What can I say? We are living together and all."
"Issei's so funny. He keeps accidentally walking in on me when I'm in the bathroom." Asia chirped, unaware of how disturbing her words were.
"Why do you suddenly have good luck with women!?" Motohama asked.
"Yeah, this sum bullshit!" Matsuda said. "Give us a number, you owe it to us!"
"Well..." Issei scratched his cheek. He didn't really want to introduce either of these two to anyone.
"I do know someone." He finally said. "She said she wanted to meet up again soon, and said she'd bring friends."
The duo gasped, and bowed to Issei. "Thank you milord! You will be payed back in kind!"
