Three more of Riser's pawns quickly trekked through the forest on the outskirts of Kuoh's campus.
Marion, a woman with long golden brown hair donning a maid outfit, scoffed as a crimson magic circle suddenly appeared and shot several darts of energy at her.
The maid dodged them effortlessly. "Seriously, what is with these traps?" She rolled her eyes.
Burent, a woman with much deeper brown hair, also wearing a maid outfit, chuckled. "Does Gremory really expect to beat us with this junk?"
The third pawn, Shuriya, sneered. She was a dark skinned woman with black hair, dressed as a belly dancer. "What can you expect from a rating game virgin? She clearly doesn't know what she's doing."
"The traps are certainly annoying, though." Burent commented, ducking under another trap. "But I can't speak for their effectiveness."
"We'll make it to their base in no time." Marion smirked as they picked up the pace.
"Speaking of which." Shuriya smirked as well. The three came to a halt, and looked up.
Peeking out from above the trees, the old school house was within their sight.
As they were about to celebrate an easy victory, however, the building before them quickly faded into nothing.
"An illusion?" Burent realized.
Marion cursed. "We were too focused on these damn traps!"
"That's absolutely correct." The three pawns tensed, and turned in the direction of the newest voice.
Kiba Yuuto exited the woods and into the clearing were the three pawns were standing. He had a calm smile on his face, and his left hand rested on the sword sheathed at his side.
"Those traps were never meant to eliminate you." Kiba admitted. "They merely created a path, leading you all here to me."
"Well this is embarassing." Burent said.
Shuriya eyed Kiba hungrily. "Well, blondie, too bad we had to meet in this kind of situation." She purred. "It's a shame it has to be this way, cuz you're definitely my type, but do you really think you can win when you're so outnumbered?"
Kiba kept his smile. "I have a better question." The knight drew his sword and pointed it at the trio of women.
"Do you think you can win when you're so outskilled?"
Shuriya's amourous grin turned into a vicious scowl. "Looks like we need to tear up that pretty face of yours to teach you a lesson."
Kiba watched as the three girls rushed him at once.
"Sorry." He said simply, before ducking Burent's strike.
The maid had no idea what had happened to her. There was a flash, and she saw blood splatter. Her blood.
"Burent!" Marion shouted, jumping towards them in an attempt to save her comrade.
Kiba sped forward and in one clean slash, Marion was done.
With only one opponent left, Kiba calmly turned to Shuriya, who had a horrified look on her face.
"Y-you... monster... monster...!"
"I've been preparing for far too long, to lose here of all places." Kiba said cryptically, before he rushed towards the last pawn, his body nothing but a blur.
[Three of Lord Riser's pawns, eliminated.]
