A ragged breath escape Kiba Yuuto's lips as he sprinted across the streets of Kuoh.

"Hey..." Freed kept his manic smile. His eyes were twisted, full of perverted glee and malice. "That was an amazing face you made just now."

"I think I'll let you live just this once." He said. "Come meet me real soon alright?" His smile widened. "I'll even tell you our base. You want the swords, right? They're all there."

Freed leaned down, and whispered in Kiba's ear.

"Kuoh Academy."

Kiba choked. "But that's... impossible!"

Freed cackled, and backed away. "See ya there, blondie! It's a date!"

He was close. So very close.

He kept running, his thoughts consumed by revenge.

It didn't take him very long to arrive.

Kiba paused for a brief moment to stare up at the main building of Kuoh Academy. He tightened his grip on his sword, and took a step through the gates.

He felt an overwhelming pressure wash over his body the moment he took a step onto the school campus. But Kiba perservered, and continued marching forwards. His determination was fierce. He would not give in when he was so close. He blasted through the doors, and into the entrance area.

Only for there to be no one around.

"Did he... lie to me?" Kiba asked, his fury rising.

"Ahoy, ranger!" Just as he began to doubt, he heard Freed's voice from above. He looked up, and saw Freed standing on the second floor, leaning against the railings.

"So glad you could make it! I was worried you wouldn't make it before security went up!" Freed admitted, staring down at Kiba. "If you didn't, you would've gotten your ass killed for sure."

"...Security?"

Freed nodded. "That's right. Nobody who doesn't work for the big man can actually come in here. But they were a little slow you see. They had some..."

"N-no! Please! Monster! Get away from u-aaaaah!"

"Difficulties." Freed finished. "But, not to worry, they just finished getting their sorry asses in gear, so no more excuses!"

"I don't care about that." Kiba said firmly, pointing his sword at Freed. "Hand the excaliburs over to me, now!"

Freed sighed melodramatically. "My dearest friend, how I would love to do that. And just to clarify, in this case, me giving you the sword would be me shoving it up your ass." The stray exorcist felt the need to clarify.

"But Freed here needs to recover after receiving five of the seven excalibur pieces." A new voice spoke, approaching the railings.

It was a short, balding old man in priest clothing.

Kiba's eyes widened.

"You will all serve a greater purpose!" He announced. "It may hurt my pride, but I must admit it. It was not by my power or knowledge that you were saved." He revealed. "No, it was our lord and Saviour! God came to me, and told me that your villages would be attacked! While my men and I arrived too late, it was still by God's endless love for all that you were saved!"

"It is for God that we must live our lives! Devoting our beings to our saviour is the sworn duty of all human beings! And you will all play a part in bettering this world on his behalf!"

"Huh? Old man Valper? You decided to show up after all?" Freed asked, turning his head to the old man.

"...Valper... Galilei..." Kiba mumbled, staring at the old man with blank eyes.
